SPEAKER_0 [ 00:01:18,310 ] What's up?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:01:22,460 ] Yeah, man, I was trying to play the Billboard Top 100 hits from 1995, and I didn't realize the first three songs were... By, uh... I had no idea they were that popular.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:01:36,500 ] Huh.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:01:37,700 ] I mean, I guess, yeah, in retrospect, it makes sense. I know... We were both like in our early teens. Or even a little younger back then, so.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:01:47,869 ] Yeah. Have you said anything to Nalgene? I haven't said anything to Nalgene yet. I haven't.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:01:53,530 ] What's up, Dojang? Dojang or Dojang?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:01:59,270 ] If it's Dojang, give me a thumbs up. If it's Dojang, give me something else other than a thumbs up.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:07,030 ] The middle finger emoji.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:09,710 ] Ha ha ha ha!
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:12,770 ] Okay.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:14,020 ] So it's Dojong.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:17,640 ] Okay.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:19,080 ] Me and Leaf have been playing some... Runes. card games here, like lately over like, I'd say the, uh, past few weeks or so.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:29,860 ] Cool.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:02:30,550 ] Hey, I'm trying to figure out how to share the spaces. I'm telling you, man. It's like, It's harder than you think. This Twitter space and I'm trying to get the Jeopardy billboard up. And, uh, And it's been tough. Like, I don't know how to post a picture yet. I still haven't figured it out.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:02:52,079 ] I, I've never actually personally started a space before. I've just always happened to be the co-host and that's it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:03:02,120 ] I don't know how to like add the, uh, there we go. Okay. Monday magic news. Add another post. I'm going to post it. Here we go. Add. Cool.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:03:14,430 ] Yeah, I added the Jeopardy billboard for our contestants tonight. All right.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:03:22,290 ] Yeah, yeah. I like how you've just sort of – you've just had that in your pocket this whole time. Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:03:29,050 ] And then just— Yeah, I was thinking about it. That's awesome though. And I just had it like teed up for tonight's special because we're giving away something. Somebody's getting something tonight.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:03:41,260 ] That sounds great to me.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:03:43,970 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:03:45,610 ] So... Oh, so we had our little five-and-a-half-hour impromptu Monday Magic News after-hours special.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:03:56,280 ] Yeah, that was fun. Had a nice time. Let's see.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:04:01,540 ] It was. It was a good time.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:04:04,680 ] I'm glad you made sure that wasn't recorded.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:04:09,590 ] If you'd like to tweet.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:04:12,289 ] First thing the next morning, Sharon messaged me and was like, 'five and a half hours.' I hope you guys got some water and aspirin. Yes.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:04:24,850 ] And I was like, 'Yep, that is exactly what I do have at this moment this Sunday morning.'
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:04:30,640 ] Oh, yeah. Well, yeah, a lot going on.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:04:35,700 ] That was a fun time. So we, we did the last time we did that was.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:04:41,250 ] in April when we first started this thing. So, you know, you know, I'll try to schedule some more. I've got some more ideas up the books, what we're going to do on a schedule, like not so late, of course, but some other things that we're going to, we're going to start branching out doing. So that's going to be cool. And especially, I think, you know, in a couple, in a couple of weeks or so.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:04,270 ] Hello, hello.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:05:05,190 ] What's up now, Gene?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:06,460 ] Excuse my tardiness, gentlemen and ladies.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:05:09,560 ] I'm sorry that we rugged you. I was trying to play the top Billboard hits from 1995, and then I was trying to figure out how to post stuff, and I just rugged our show. So I had to re-scramble.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:22,880 ] These things happen. It's all right. You know, it was a pleasure to... spend uh my Saturday evening with with you too Jen yeah um that was quite fun um but thank you so much for having me on the space it's a pleasure to be here and uh to join the magic Monday News Well, thank you very much for joining us.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:05:40,600 ] Oh, Bill's car. He's joining tonight. That's good.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:44,030 ] Well, yeah, we got Bill Ding, we got Leif, we got Sharon. Stoked.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:05:49,670 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:05:51,170 ] Let's see who else needs to give an approval. Okay.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:05:55,110 ] Can you tell us about Bear Snake's bathroom analogy?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:06:00,700 ] Holy crap. Is that building right there?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:04,700 ] That's Bill Gaines. That's Bill Gaines.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:07,900 ] Oh my gosh. Um, you know... Not much to say about it. The floor is... in fact, covered in urine, has not been cleaned for a while. Um, I don't, I don't know how graphic I can go with this, so I'm going to keep it at that. But, uh. you know, um, It's pretty rancid. I'll just say that. Pretty rancid, pretty sticky. um, wouldn't, uh, would not deal with it if you're not ready for the consequences.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:06:37,860 ] Does he use any like air freshener, like Febreze or something in there? Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:44,570 ] You know, actually... Since he's one with the forest, he prefers to just populate it with those little trees that usually hang over your center mirror. But, you know, it reminds them of home. But, you know, it's rare. They're kind of expensive. Maybe get the five-pack at Costco. But, um... Yeah, you know, just usually letting it go.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:07,390 ] He used the black ice scented... Little trees.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:07:12,430 ] Um, you know, actually pine, pine, he leans toward pine just because, uh, like I said, reminds him of home. But, uh, you know, if, if he were a, perhaps like a limousine driver, like I could, I could see that the black eyes being more enticing. Um. But no, you know.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:07:32,850 ] That's all I got in that regard, really. Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:35,990 ] I smelled some weed this weekend that smelled like black ice, air freshener. In a cigarette smoker's car. Very specifically like that. That, that smell.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:07:49,780 ] Was it like brown?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:53,460 ] Now. Now. Do it. It was nice weed. I thought it smelled good, but very specifically like that black ice airbrush. In a cigarette. Thank you. Very interesting. For some reason, they're like combined. Usually.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:08:10,790 ] Well, not usually, but when you see the black ice air freshener, it's usually someone. Smoke cigarettes right it's my experience yeah Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:08:20,630 ] It's masking the smoke, the stench. Oh, geez.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:08:25,820 ] Well, very curious, Bill. Very curious. I don't know what your guys' format looks like, but happy to dive into it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:08:35,980 ] Yeah, I usually give you the whole format. I didn't do it this time, but we're going to go into the headlines here for the first bit, and then we're going to jump in with some questions that Wild Mage has prepared. And then we're going to have an extra special trivia contest called Wizard Jeopardy. I posted it on the Monday Magic News Twitter. The categories and the points. And we've got 12 questions.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:09:00,300 ] And we're going to have a contest to whoever, basically, it's going to be whoever's here. Because I only see seven. And I probably, you know, rugged myself with the other link, but maybe people can figure it out. But Feckless is just, like, winning everything.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:09:17,900 ] Oh, no. He won, like, a dragon and another one of one. So I'm probably going to have to sideline him.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:09:26,780 ] Oh, geez. Well, you know, in the good lore of Feckless, we do have a spare jacket of somebody who committed to paying for one who did not, who shall not be named. But, you know, you keep winning these things, you might have to swing by the Bear Cave and take that other name off the front breast and put 'feckless' There you go. Oh.
Casper Shadows [ 00:09:50,640 ] Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:09:51,410 ] But I'm all down for game shows, all down for questions, whatever you guys want to do.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:09:57,520 ] Oh, and then there's also the treat of the week, which is soy sauce, which, yeah, we're going to throw that into your interview questions. So go ahead and let that simmer. Think on that. If you can think of a use for it, we'll get into that a little bit, too.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:10:12,170 ] Soy sauce. Love soy sauce. Very versatile. Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:10:16,000 ] Um, all right. Well, Whatever you got next. All right.
Casper Shadows [ 00:10:19,250 ] We've got, yeah, we started everything off with the headline.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:10:22,410 ] The dragon over a winner of the Black Sands race. It was kind of like a. I don't know. I do our rolls in the first three days, and it's like, all right, I've got nothing else, you know. And I probably shouldn't break it up. But it was a four-week race, three one-of-ones.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:10:39,790 ] And in a culmination of that, and hopefully that we get an update soon from the Black Sands about when the soul burning is going to be happening. The idea was to have the first four race series. And then have the soul burning. The. Soul Crystals, and have that event. But that didn't materialize, so they took a two-week break. And then win another four-week on another four-week race. So it's got to be soon. I don't know what Black Sands, what's going on, but, you know, Wizards never late and all that stuff. So that's what's going on. That. Um, Other news, Leif Dojang is going to be our guest for next Monday. And another musician, or actually, probably the first one. Actual original credits to many things in forgotten runes wizard cult and uh, we're real excited to have him in this and it also contributed for Black Sands. And then the following week, we got Legatus is going to join us. And we're real excited for Legatus to, you know, the face of the Black Sands.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:11:45,830 ] Coming to join us too. We've got some tough questions for him, but we're looking forward to it. And then the rest of the summer, we're going to try to find some more guests. But that's the schedule we have. Um...
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:11:57,920 ] Dr. Slurp is going to end up being late September.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:12:01,300 ] Oh, yeah. When Merlin gets back from Italy, he's coming on. He's been traveling for the last six weeks. When he gets back. We're going to have him on.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:12:13,849 ] Also, friends . tech stuff. I don't understand it. I posted something on Dota's feed. I was like, what is this sorcery? I don't get it. I mean, is it like an instant messenger chat that people pay for? That's all I can think of on the blockchain. Do you have any idea what this is, Wild Mage?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:12:31,390 ] I mean, from what I reckon, because I kind of messed with it a little bit, but then I didn't really want to waste Ethereum on it, so I didn't really delve into it too much, but then I still sort of looked. And saw what others were doing. And like, I said to the best of my reckoning, I suppose it's sort of the equivalent of say, coming up with sort of an open edition that would be directly tied to your Twitter within like its whole app mechanism. And then, like, I don't exactly know how the supply works or anything, but you're basically sort of uh It seems like there's some level of flexibility with offering maybe... secret subscription information or potential other perks and drops for essentially you owning. You owning their shit coin? on specifically friends . tech.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:13:19,750 ] That seems to be the best that I understand it. We... I mean, I guess I haven't looked into it too much because I guess I really just got the impression that this was sort of a... if you didn't jump in day one and get in, get out like, get a little bit of a bag, like. It's probably not going to be much of anything. You know, I may be wrong. I just didn't really get the vibe that it was necessarily going to be something more, but I guess that's something we're going to have to investigate if it's still going even stronger.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:13:47,800 ] It reminds me of the dot E and S boom, you know, that was a, I don't know if people are still paying. Outrageous sums for dot ens stuff, but um, you know, it just seemed like another one of those things, but um, anyway, that's the news. Um, another bit of news this week: 3D Wizard Flex on OpenSea for all to see. You can buy a Forgotten Runes Wizard token, wizard, and you can see the 3D there. That's pretty cool. We're seeing a pop in sales on the Wizards and the Warriors. I mean, they're cheap as you can get them right now.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:21,280 ] And, folks, it's going to bottom out at some point. I mean, it could go lower. It could go higher. But we're seeing some sales this week on that.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:14:29,090 ] Um... You think it'll break? I don't know.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:32,350 ] At this point, you know, I never thought it would be . 5.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:36,040 ] You know, it's just.
Casper Shadows [ 00:14:37,880 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:38,240 ] And so, you know, like I scoop one on Saturday night. I warrior that I never thought I would get. And I had like a stinky bit out there and it's getting bought. So I'm like, all right.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:14:46,840 ] Oh, what was that exactly?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:49,440 ] I don't know which one he is. He's got a blue sword. He is one of the.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:14:54,710 ] He looks like a... What do they call them? Not a gnome, but, um, Ugh.
Casper Shadows [ 00:15:04,090 ] Dwarf. He's got Dwarf hat on. Oh.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:15:07,040 ] It's a good one, man. It's a good affinity. I can't believe someone just dumped on a Saturday night and got it.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:15:13,620 ] You know, I picked up a 100% Affinity Warrior close to the floor, maybe about a week ago, and I didn't need to spend that Ethereum, but I still did it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:15:23,230 ] So you can get a good deal right now. I wish you didn't miss. You know, kind of thing. But, you know, we all didn't know that back then. So, whatever.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:15:31,370 ] Okay, John Wick is going with a brown hat. What is this?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:15:35,900 ] No, no, no. Remember, I guess the creator of John Wick, Derek Kolstad, I guess he picked up a warrior. He picked up a wizard recently. I guess. You know, and he specifically picked a brown hat.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:15:46,880 ] Well, in the other news, John Wick series, they're having a TV show called The Continental on NBC Peacock. And I saw that go through Twitter. So, I mean, they're extending the lore in the universe for the John Wick. Um. series franchise. And so I'm surprised that magic machine did not pick that up. And I was the first one to tweet about that. I was pretty proud of myself, but there's some news and alpha there that they're going to continue to build this. series out they're going to go start with the continental for that the owner of the hotel. which is, you know, Who knows how it's going to be. It looks cool. I mean, they got a great actor. He's a new young guy. Um, But it looks pretty good from what I saw in the trailer. So that's coming. So it's really good for Magic Machine and the comic and the show. I mean, it could continue to. I mean, I would. piggyback off that all day long. It's a fantastic franchise and the writing is right in.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:16:47,800 ] tomb for what wizard cult is. Um, so if you, if you didn't know that Continental is a new show that's coming out this fall. Um, And it looks like it's going to be a three-part series. So it'll be kind of like, I don't know, a Game of Thrones type of show on a mainstream network. Cool.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:17:07,560 ] Let's see here. What else we got?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:17:10,429 ] something with your wild mages up to no good or up to good with the purple and white hats. What's going on there?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:17:17,520 ] Okay, so I may or may not have contacted... A higher power in the Roonaverse. And you'll see in my latest lore that an unrevealed wizard was in my dormitory there over at Magus Diggory's school for baby wizards. And I basically was explaining to them the fact that every time I use the chronovisor tree, that the shadow hats turned up in every single timeline. So knowing that they're an inevitability. I consulted this higher power. That will remain unrevealed in the Rootiverse. And they advised me to contact... the uh purple hats and the White Hats on this matter of, I guess, defending against this coming threat.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:18:07,910 ] Okay. Some very powerful wizards that you'll be messing around with. So look forward to that lore.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:18:13,460 ] And so, if anybody, if anybody's trying to get on the right side of history against the shadow hats with me. Let me know.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:18:21,370 ] Yes. Um, You got a, okay. He says an unrevealed figure was part of this. So, all right.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:18:28,770 ] Yes.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:18:30,610 ] And I can't say who it was. But, uh... Yeah, it was.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:18:35,670 ] It was solid info.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:18:36,630 ] There's also rumors of an internal competition with Magic Machine. We're going to have to ask Nalgene about this later, about what's going on with that contest and the game. I got a feeling they've been real quiet this week. Oh, wait, of course, it's only Monday. They're probably just stacking their goblins and burning each other's forts and stuff. I don't know what they're doing, but uh, they're practicing this week and um, so they are going to battle test the settlers of Katan-type game on the blockchain that we're going to release the Bottle Battle for Goblin Town.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:19:09,990 ] Um, later this fall, hopefully maybe spring, who knows, but it got a lot of ship. Don't know what the ship dates are going to be, but, um, You know, at least they're playtesting it. They got to a point where they're going to... They're going to – you know, fight amongst themselves on this. I think Wednesday's going to be good. I think they're really going to... They're really going to... They're really going to... provide some good alpha. They've got something up there.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:19:40,050 ] They've got something up their sleeve, you kind of feel?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:19:41,990 ] Yeah, I think so. I think they're going to really be like – the feedback from all their teams is going to be really good. They're going to be like, this is better than you think it is, Dota. And Dota's going to be like, oh, cool. But, um...
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:19:51,590 ] Thank you. Did you notice that in Wizard Wednesday, last Wizard Wednesday, that they mentioned that the Jelly Donut Souls were going to get a shadow hat drop?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:20:01,430 ] But then, like, in the context of the way they were describing it, they were describing it as if, like, oh, in addition to the two treats that are going to get the drops. And so we know the Book of Shadows. Have they actually revealed what that second treat is? Did I just miss that?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:20:15,970 ] Yeah, it's the shadow crystals.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:20:18,670 ] Oh, okay. I mean, that naturally makes sense anyway. Yeah, okay. Well, that, yeah, there you go.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:20:25,510 ] Yeah, so that wasn't a surprise. It wasn't a surprise. I thought it was going to be like another treat, but somebody spent like $36,000 on a Jolly Donut and, you know, give them a shadow hat. I remember when they did that drop.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:20:40,000 ] It makes sense. Oh, and they're tying it all in, too. You know what I mean? With the lore, you know, on the Saturday sacrifice.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:20:47,180 ] All of that. I guess really the only other headline we've got is the fact that 3D Souls and Beasts are coming soon.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:20:55,160 ] That'll be cool to see.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:20:56,120 ] Yeah, and no news on retired Yield Farmers game. I've got to get him on here.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:01,180 ] I need, I've been, I'm going to check back with him. I need to do about every six weeks or so. I try to get an update from him. I don't want him to be left out. And I know they're building. So I need to check back with Retired Yield Farmer. I was also going to say... On the news. Oh, my goodness. 3D Souls, Beast coming soon.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:22,430 ] What else do we got? Oh, yeah. Went to Sharon Spaces this morning. Fantastic. It was about 30 minutes. It's always right when we're all working, like I'm working anyways, but I have it on and just really enjoyed it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:34,820 ] And just getting some of the lore discussed this morning, and she really spoke about kindness and being kind, and I thought that was going to be, that's a good.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:45,740 ] That's a good message for this week to start off on it. So if you look for something positive and you want to get your week started, it's like a little meditation with lore and stories.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:55,490 ] She's got some things coming out with Galatea.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:21:59,919 ] Ortho, is it Etha? Ortho the Frog? I can't remember. Um, but her little frog, And I'm sorry if I'm mispronouncing it, but it was a good start to your week. And so if you've got time to check in, just do it. It's worth it. It's a lot of fun.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:22:17,939 ] So that's all I have this week for the news.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:22:24,380 ] Well, I guess we should go on to the questions and let Nalgene on into the spotlight.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:32,800 ] I'm ready. I'm ready. It was a great recap, by the way, I think. That encapsulates everything, and then something I can think of. Um, But, yeah, what do you got? Thank you.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:22:45,129 ] Well, I guess first off, how many beers are in your refrigerator?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:48,590 ] How many beers are in my refrigerator? Absolutely zero.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:22:52,930 ] Zero. I guess that's a healthy choice, though.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:56,200 ] Not a big drinker, you know. My one indulgence would be... Cigars.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:04,370 ] At this present moment. But yeah, try to keep my indulgences to a minimum. You know what I mean? Stay focused.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:23:12,000 ] Nalgene actually quit smoking weed while made. You might ask him for some advice.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:18,110 ] Ha ha ha!
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:23:19,540 ] I did. I did. I could use some of that advice. I did indeed.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:24,150 ] Yeah, it's a good decision. Definitely helps with the clarity.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:28,530 ] I'm not one with the best self-control, so that was just the right choice for me, you know?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:23:35,000 ] I feel that. He smoked some of my flour and he got way too high is what happened.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:42,150 ] Bill, I don't know if Bill's oversharing here, but that is precisely what happened. I had a spiritual, I swear to God, I kid you not. Wow. Bill hooked me up. And I was just like, I... I consumed it and I was like, wow, I literally don't need to get high anymore. Like this was way too much. Um, so... So if you want to get to that place.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:06,030 ] You know how to read film.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:24:08,490 ] Wow, that's crazy.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:24:10,910 ] Yeah, aside from that. Well, I got a question. What do you do at Magic Machine? This is. What do I do? Like office space.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:20,340 ] What have they kept me around for two years for? That's a great question. So initially, I was hired on to Magic Machine to... Like, do art commissions, essentially, which... was like, I think probably a year and a half ago. Um. Essentially just like expanding the lore. When people bought wizards, I would have someone commission art for them to encourage them to write lore and just kind of see their wizard in a different medium. And then, as things... progressed and we had more going on, I just assumed responsibility of more and more things. So, you know, big proponent in the party planning took over. Merch, uh, production, outfitted the bear cave but um. Yeah, I spend most of my days with Bear at the Bear Cave.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:25:17,920 ] Focused primarily on like biz dev and like operation stuff, so whenever we work with contractors and make sure they get paid. I essentially am managing the whole workflow of the comic. Uh... in terms of like the creative stuff along with Elf. But I have, of course, Bear and Locke and Jitsi and the rest of the team to help me do promo and marketing and all of that stuff. Um. But this is kind of my first go at like, uh, kind of a startup or something of that nature.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:25:52,090 ] Yeah, just learning a lot and flying by the seat of my pants, you know, trying to be useful.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:25:56,890 ] Well, I guess you kind of feel like this is like a new space. Do you feel like this is whatever y'all are doing, just like nobody's done this before? and you kind of got taken for a ride, and, like, everybody's riding with you on this because it's just so daggone new. I don't know anything else like this. Do you kind of feel that way, or is it something else, the experience like that?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:19,710 ] Um, in terms of like the space that we're in— as in crypto— or like in terms of like just. what we got going on with, like, Wizards, like, as a, like, from a Web 2 perspective, we'll call it.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:26:35,090 ] I guess, well, I guess what came to my mind, I guess, interpreting that, I guess, to just frame it, would be... I guess as specifically.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:26:44,320 ] a leading NFT project in the NFT space.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:50,160 ] Yeah, I mean, you know, I've been – that's an opportunity I was blessed with. I think that, like – In life, like in starting business, like the zero to one is the most difficult thing. Because a lot of people have a lot of great ideas, but not a great execution. And um, The beautiful thing about Wizards was that the magic was upon us, and they meant it out, and we've... We were, quite frankly, blessed to be... coming this far and like have a wonderful community and support.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:27:23,420 ] of people. So I, uh, I don't know any other way, quite frankly. And I am so lucky and grateful to have, uh, just joined this team, um, from, from zero. I did have some experience in, um, I did, I was like trading shit coins and like, you know, all that stuff since like 2018. But, um. You know, I was... brought on for Wizards and that was my birth into the NFT world, really. So I'm spoiled. Said least.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:27:53,420 ] How long have you been with Magic Machine?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:27:56,910 ] Uh, like a year and, uh, I want to say a year and a half conservatively, but if we were going to like try to stretch it, maybe a year and eight months, something like that.
Casper Shadows [ 00:28:06,600 ] Okay.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:28:07,460 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:28:09,490 ] I was going to ask what did it feel like in the office when you guys met it out, but I wasn't sure if you were there at that time or not.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:28:16,310 ] I was not. We actually didn't even have the Bear Cave for the time of Mint. It was secured after the fact.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:28:25,840 ] So, you know, I can tell you that, like Mint Day for like Warriors, Mint Day for like Mint Auction Week, I should say, for Beasts, was it's like the energy is like no other. Also, very, very spoiled to have experienced those those types of things. as well.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:28:45,190 ] Would you ever play like D &D or RPGs or anything before the Wizards or whatever? Growing up experiencing that or is it just something new too?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:28:56,459 ] No, I absolutely love Magic the Gathering. Spent a lot of time and money over there.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:02,480 ] Sorry, I'm in flux right now. Get in front of my desk.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:29:05,700 ] But, uh, Thank you.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:07,710 ] Big NTG fan, for sure.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:10,570 ] That was kind of my jam.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:13,860 ] I've always been, like... online. Nerding out. Um, But, you know, I played COD a lot when I was a kid. It was one of those. But sort of like... 15, 16, 17, played a lot of Magic. Um, So familiar with wizards and. and lore. and turn-based RPGs.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:29:37,350 ] What were, I guess, your mainstays when it came to primary and secondary debt colors?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:44,930 ] Oh, that's a great question. I, geez, Louise. Oh my gosh, it's been so long. But essentially, what is it, Fire and Death? I think that was. I played, I love Standard.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:57,990 ] Oh man, oh man. If I had even half my cards still. Um, I think I sold all my decks, but I, um... Yeah, that was it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:08,300 ] Gosh, I'm trying to think of some... Some of the cards.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:11,930 ] Um... But yeah, I love Standard. I love the fact that they released, like, and I think the last Standard set was, what, 2020?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:21,530 ] Uh, but I'm not exactly certain. I think they've continued to release, but uh.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:28,130 ] Yeah, I think that was the majority of my play was in 2020.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:30:34,220 ] Oh, I haven't played Magic since Urza's Saga.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:30:39,120 ] Long before my time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:43,740 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:30:45,020 ] It's like before Nalgene was even born.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:47,890 ] Yeah. I am quite young, by the way. I was not even alive for 9-11. Just one fact about me.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:55,490 ] But that's all. It's all. I definitely.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:30:57,870 ] Wow, I definitely started playing Magic before you were born. I started in the temple.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:31:01,760 ] Me too. Yeah. I wish I had my magic cards, Wild Mage. Goodness.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:31:08,730 ] I would say, at one point, I mean, I had several pain lands and I had like four each of Force of Will. Which is probably my favorite Magic card of all time. Yeah. Go tell him what I had. I can't remember.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:31:25,410 ] Do uh all right. So what, what would you say, what's the caffeine source of choice at the Bear Cave?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:31,670 ] At the Bear Cave. That's a very good question. I would say that... Coffee is fueling most of the activities.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:39,780 ] I've also quit caffeine, quite frankly, for the last couple of weeks. So I've been off that for like almost a month now. And, uh, but prior for myself, uh, it was definitely watermelon Red Bulls. Um, you know, That's the kryptonite. It was just, they were just so good. Um... But, yeah, watermelon Red Bulls, yerba mate, the canned ones, I know, pretty pathetic. But, yeah, that would be it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:32:09,840 ] That's my personal. Bear was definitely strictly coffee. You know, like, get your freaking Zoomer energy drinks out of here type of thing. Um, So I respect that as well. But coffee gets me sometimes, you know? It gets me the wrong way. It just gets me too jittery, a little too anxious.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:32:30,590 ] Which I prefer not to feel.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:32:34,880 ] Hmm. So what actually, so what do you think? Soy sauce might do in the Rooniverse.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:32:43,150 ] So we saw the Rooniverse.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:32:45,120 ] Yeah, because we know there's a supply of 49 currently. So that is, you know, I'd say that's around like a B+ in terms of rarity and then I think that they definitely they definitely seem to be applicable to the uh I think there's three different pieces of sushi maybe four Interesting.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:33:08,040 ] But I don't know. Yeah. We're going to see what you think first, though, before we get into me and Henvoid's thoughts.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:33:14,840 ] Man, like, I haven't even formed any theories about... treats in the Rooniverse, quite frankly, but I, uh... Boy sauce. Man, oh man. I mean, it seems like the creator was leaning towards... Little sushi restaurant or something of the sort. I mean, there is a lot of uh coastal towns, um, in their universe. And, you know, soy sauce, man, I would.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:33:42,820 ] It goes great with some sashimi. Just some plain rice, even, you know? You ever just... So.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:33:49,500 ] That's all I have, really. That's all that comes to mind.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:33:53,330 ] Yeah, we're going to have to maybe do a follow-up on the sushi pieces because they're all like under 20 supply, so they're definitely on the rarest side.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:34:03,789 ] I don't know. I did some thinking about it, and I kind of reckon the soy sauce might be used in either One of two ways or both.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:34:12,150 ] One, I guess, given its fermentation properties.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:34:17,010 ] That it could possibly render dead fish and dead rats edible as treats.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:34:25,280 ] And... And I also thought that, like, additionally... The soy sauce would act as a stat booster. To an edible treat and whatever like bonus it gives would be increased by some sort of times x sort of factor, maybe. Um, even, even if, uh, and I guess, um, you know, even if it's, uh, maybe something weird, like, uh, putting a soy sauce on a watermelon slice and then eating it for like whatever boost. A watermelon slice is going to give you.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:35:02,270 ] All right. You know, I don't know. Soy sauce is very versatile. I'm not going to judge someone for putting soy sauce in their watermelon.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:35:09,089 ] I would agree with that.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:35:11,750 ] Hidden Boy, did you have any inclinations about what the soy sauce might do?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:35:15,570 ] Yeah, I think it's going to be some sort of ingredient for something very, very powerful or special in the Rooniverse that you're going to have to have an advanced cooking skill. Oh, like a whole dish.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:35:26,929 ] Yeah, you're going to have to do it, and it's going to be perched on somebody's house in the Rooniverse. You're going to have to go over to, like, Feckless' house and, like, see it, like, perched up. There on his kitchen or, you know, somebody's, you know, he'd be like, 'Can I go over to your spot and take your soy sauce to make this extra special 100 XP booster, blah, blah, blah, for this recipe?'
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:35:52,250 ] I think it's kind of something like that.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:35:56,210 ] I could see it being any or all of those, really.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:36:01,240 ] Some great theories.
Casper Shadows [ 00:36:02,610 ] Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:36:03,570 ] So you have a Koopling wizard, right? Indeed, I do. I am sporting the wonderful pink dino outfit.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:36:12,720 ] And crafted by the wonderful Miss Acid Eater. It is... It's a favorite PFP of mine. I really do enjoy it. It brings me joy every time I see it. You know, Just kind of fits my vibe. Bit goofy. Think the dino suit is hilarious.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:36:29,630 ] And, um, Yeah, I do love the Kooplings, though. I was drawn to this Koopling, who I... is incidentally the second wizard in the entire collection. Um, so that's pretty cool. I didn't even know that.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:36:44,260 ] You know, I think Kooplings are goofy. I just think they look silly and they're a little... under the radar, pretty, pretty, pretty rare on the rarer side of the collection. Um, and, but I didn't know any of that going in. I was just drawn, drawn to the Koopling and his little, little hat, kind of reminded me of like South Park in a way. And that, you know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:37:05,990 ] some serious, uh, I don't know, nostalgia there associated, I guess.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:37:12,780 ] What's the full title of your wizard?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:37:16,109 ] His name is Archmagus. Well, you know, I don't know his gender, quite frankly. But Archmagus Poppy of the Moors. Um, he is number two in the collection, which I've already said, but I think it's cool.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:37:29,790 ] Is there a specific reason for Of The Moors?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:37:33,530 ] That's a great question. I haven't explored that. Um, you know, I, in, in, this may be a follow-up question, but I have yet to write any lore for him as well. Oh, wow. very, very clean slate. Um, I, I think that there is an odd, uh, mischievous element to Kooplings. Um, like, I think they just look so derpy. But, like, I like to think that Archmagus... Poppy is like an arms dealer or something really, you know, kind of obscure like that. Um, I don't know. That's just kind of where I went, you know, just mischievery.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:38:11,700 ] That's awesome.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:38:13,819 ] So I might have to put some pen to paper and actualize that. In the book for all of history, all of eternity.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:38:23,110 ] Could you tell us where the Moors may end up being located? On the Rooniverse, man.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:38:29,470 ] Um. Let me see.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:38:32,360 ] I'm going to pull up a map and see if I got anything.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:38:36,560 ] But I don't know off the top of my head, to be quite frank.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:38:40,170 ] Um, Yeah, because I think as far as what has been revealed to all of us in the community, I don't think the Moors are on the map, but I know that I guess I was kind of poking and prodding to see if maybe you might reveal something about the unrevealed parts of the map.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:38:54,870 ] Ah, well, you know... That may be crossing some lines. I don't exactly know if that's something I could divulge, though I have definitely seen the entire map. And. It's breathtaking.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:39:09,790 ] To say the least. Um, Very excited to have that map be released to the community as well as some iterations that it might exist in as well.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:39:21,970 ] You know, we forget about stuff like that. I remember when Elf and Dota spoke about that last year in NFT NYC. I had a moment with Dota and he was talking about that. And since that, because one of the expansions of the map was given in that comic book. And that was the last I heard of. And I never forgot all about that until you just mentioned that, that there are four parts to this map. And Dota was like, 'Yeah, I don't know when we're going to do the rest of it because we just expanded the initial one. Because for a year and a half. We were working off of that little part of the map. That's half the size of the one that's now.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:40:02,960 ] So that's some crazy, I forgot about that, that we've got a lot of expansion ability with that. So that's some alpha there that we forgot, some forgotten alpha there, Wild Mage.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:40:14,540 ] There you go. Yeah, I just pulled up the map from the comic to see if there's any reference. I'm searching around, but the text is rather small. Um... Yeah, I am near certain that the map in the comic pictured is... Hardly all of it. So something to look forward to.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:40:40,540 ] That's fantastic. See, you know, that's why you tune in, folks, to get some of this alpha, some reminders of something, because so much has happened. Since the initial mint and all this stuff that I can't remember at all. And before we even went live, basically when we first started going live. Right before NFT NYC, there was a whole basically year of lore and stuff like that, that... It happened. I mean... So much stuff. Warriors, the Beast, and the Seventh Realm. I mean, sometimes that feels like distant, distant days ago. But that was a pretty big deal when we had to go find someone with a key holder and all that. Find the... The books.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:41:27,560 ] The locks. That's it. The locks.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:41:29,780 ] Fox and Key Wizards. Yes. Yeah, that was so fun. More collaborative mints, definitely.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:41:37,650 ] Well, I can't promise anything, but I think that that's a great mechanic and something we... Definitely want to lean into.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:41:47,910 ] What is your second favorite NFT project?
Casper Shadows [ 00:41:50,810 ] Hmm?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:41:51,230 ] That's a great question. Wow, I've never had to. I had to think about that. Usually the ones I'm trying to flip. To make a little bit of money.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:41:59,640 ] No, I, let's see, in terms of like who I respect in space.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:42:08,140 ] I don't like pudgy penguins, though I do. I can appreciate what they've done with the brand, with the gifts, and with the Instagram content and all of that. So I have respect for certain projects for their kind of like. Um, you know, what they've done as a business.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:42:29,720 ] Aesthetically speaking, man, there's so many fun little memes and just weird... projects out there that I love. One that I've seen lately is this Super Trip 64. I don't know if anyone has heard of that, but it's like this... This game, this browser-based game, that this single individual created, and it's just very psychedelic. It's very fun, uh, not super well known, and I don't think it has like a large collection or association.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:43:00,910 ] Um, But that's a fun one for sure. I obviously have respect for Yuga and their ecosystem.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:43:09,230 ] And all of that stuff, just as being captains of the NFT proverbial ship.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:43:17,880 ] Yeah, you know.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:43:20,729 ] That's kind of my take.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:43:24,029 ] Henboy, do we want to, I know we've got a few more questions, but do we want to do the Jeopardy first and then we'll jump right back to the final question?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:31,510 ] We've run through a lot of questions with Nalgene. I tell you what, we've burned through a lot of them.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:43:35,970 ] We've still got a few.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:37,290 ] We've got a few, but I don't know much else that was like, yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:42,520 ] Huh.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:43,770 ] Yeah, let's do the Jeopardy spaces. And I guess I need three contestants tonight, Wild Mage. Do we have three contestants out there?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:43:52,820 ] Is Nalgene going to be one of our contestants?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:55,290 ] If he likes to be.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:43:57,560 ] I'll happily partake, though I might be a little overpowered. Or I could be underpowered, depending on these questions.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:44:03,680 ] That's true. I think you're going to know a lot of the answers to these questions. I definitely do. I sure hope I do.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:09,100 ] He's got a really good dog, a horse in this race. Okay. Let's see who else has got another one. Who else wants to join us?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:44:16,370 ] Who else wants to join? I'll do it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:19,870 ] All right, Bill.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:21,970 ] And we need one more. You can't win because we're giving away the Mecha Pony tonight. So.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:28,170 ] Dang. Maca Pony, what are you talking about? He'll take it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:44:31,510 ] Bill, wasn't the mecha pony yours?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:36,070 ] Huh?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:44:36,780 ] Oh, no, it was the Quanta Pony. Pardon.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:39,170 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:44:39,850 ] Never mind.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:40,350 ] And the Quanta Pony was... was the reason of the creation of the knife.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:47,050 ] There you go. I joined some business.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:51,270 ] Mr. Brown, you want to play?
Wild Mage [ 00:44:53,030 ] I expect benefits. Did I join? I joined something. What did I do?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:57,720 ] Yeah, you joined Wizard Jeopardy!
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:01,920 ] Wizard Jeopardy.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:03,460 ] Sign me up. I'm in. Let's go. Let's go.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:07,340 ] Here's how it goes. I posted earlier on my Twitter spaces. Monday Magic News. The categories and the points. Total for the questions. What we're going to do is we're going to go. I think I made first request.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:22,590 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:23,790 ] What? Somebody's going to go first, second, and third.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:26,760 ] Famous Wizards for $300. Thank you, Alex.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:30,350 ] All right, so we're going to go Mr. Brown, Bill, and now Gene. I'm going to keep the point.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:45:35,460 ] I'm going to keep the score while you do that, all right?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:40,400 ] Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:42,799 ] Famous Wizard for three years. Name the most famous kobold in the Forgotten Runes wizard cult.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:45:53,440 ] And this is for, for Mr. Mr. Brown.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:45:56,300 ] Okay.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:45:57,200 ] That would be Jitsi. Thank you.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:00,210 ] Yes, correct. 300 points.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:02,640 ] 300.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:04,260 ] All right, Bill, your category.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:07,700 ] Bye.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:09,330 ] Give me... Give me epic moments for 300.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:18,390 ] Okay. Epic moments for 300. Where was the meetup in NYC held for the NFT?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:24,620 ] NYC Wizard Meetup 2023.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:29,480 ] You mean like the... The location.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:33,230 ] Yes.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:36,170 ] Oh, jeez. Man, it was like two blocks from my hotel.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:41,140 ] 1, 2, 3.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:42,440 ] Outward. Do you say 2023?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:45,030 ] Yes, this year. Oh, shit. I don't know, man.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:50,610 ] You sure you don't know?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:52,260 ] I'm sure. I don't know.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:54,050 ] Okay, the answer is Bar-K.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:57,190 ] Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:46:58,570 ] They ran it back there this year. So no points for Bill. All right, now Dean, your category.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:05,220 ] Man, oh, man. All righty. We've covered epic moments in Famous Wiz for 300.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:12,480 ] I guess I'm going to do token holders for 300. Let's see.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:47:16,130 ] Token holders for 300.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:47:18,450 ] Please. All right. How many beasts? Does Jail Warden own?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:24,820 ] Oh boy. Oh. Well... Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. He owns, is it one and a half?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:37,810 ] My rationale behind such would be he has the bugbear chieftain, and then perhaps... owns a portion of the Nightmare Imp.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:46,890 ] We got a super player.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:47:48,930 ] Correct. Yes, we were going to go with one or one and a half.
Wild Mage [ 00:47:52,690 ] That's impressive. Wow. Good job. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:47:56,590 ] All right, Mr. Brown.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:00,830 ] I'm ready. Go for it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:02,730 ] Which one do you want? Category.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:04,790 ] Yep. Wait, where are my ounces? I'm sorry, I'm eating.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:08,400 ] Runiverse, lore, token holders, epic moments, famous whiz or famous treat.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:13,370 ] Uh, Runiverse for 300, Alex?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:17,890 ] Runeiverse for 300. All right. Where does Magus Wazir live?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:26,560 ] In the Rooniverse.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:29,970 ] Bye.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:34,340 ] He lives in a bell. Woo!
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:48:37,200 ] Ha ha ha! No. He lives in Dream Master Lake.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:44,150 ] That was going to be my second choice.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:48:47,910 ] Wait, Henboy, did you say 'in' or 'like by'?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:48:52,130 ] And Dream Master Lake. Like, in the lake itself? Yes.
Wild Mage [ 00:48:57,220 ] Which looks like a bell. Thank you. I still win. 300 points.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:03,520 ] Nice try. All right, Bill, you're good.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:07,400 ] Since you didn't get Runiverse for 300, right, I can choose that, right?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:12,610 ] That was the one we already did.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:14,690 ] All right. What about... What about... Oh, man. Token holders for 100.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:23,870 ] All right, token holders for 100. Who owns the most souls in the collection?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:29,610 ] Oh, is that Juan Snow?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:31,360 ] Correct.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:32,640 ] BANG!
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:34,200 ] Be nice.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:35,550 ] That was a total of 100 points. Question.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:49:40,340 ] Ugh.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:41,990 ] All right. Now, Gene.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:49:43,780 ] Um, What's our only 300 slot left? Lore? Lore. Super great about that, but I will I'll give it a go. Give it a go.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:49:54,010 ] What are the Red Hat Wizards especially known for?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:49:59,660 ] Um... Oh, boy. Um... Oh, my... I... I... I... I'm just going to take a shot in the dark here.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:50:17,170 ] I don't know. I'm drawing a blank, to be quite honest. I've just been a Koopling honorary blue hat my entire life.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:50:26,660 ] I don't even know. I really don't know. And for the sake of embarrassment, I don't think I'm going to answer. Okay.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:32,970 ] Thank you. They're known for being capitalist bitches. They like money. Ugh.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:50:38,540 ] Too easy.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:40,210 ] All right. Next, Mr. Brown.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:48,189 ] Mr. Brown reporting.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:50,320 ] Yep. Would you like a question?
Casper Shadows [ 00:50:52,950 ] Huh?
Casper Shadows [ 00:50:54,080 ] I want to.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:56,330 ] All right. Which one do you want?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:50:59,670 ] Epic moments.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:01,310 ] I want the first one.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:02,720 ] More. Or Runiverse to see if I got it. All right. Epic most. Reuniversal reverse one for $100.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:09,410 ] All right.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:10,030 ] You ready?
Wild Mage [ 00:51:11,080 ] I'm ready.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:11,990 ] Where did the forgotten ponies originate from?
Wild Mage [ 00:51:21,540 ] Wow. Um.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:25,020 ] I would say Elf.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:28,590 ] In the Rooniverse. It's the Categories Rooniverse.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:35,020 ] Yeah.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:37,990 ] Um, Forgotten stables?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:41,700 ] Oh, wrong. The Elysian Fields.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:51:47,029 ] Did you hear that? I said that back here a little bit.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:50,330 ] Thank you.
Wild Mage [ 00:51:52,240 ] No. All right, Bill. I love your show.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:51:55,060 ] This is a lot of fun, buddy.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:51:57,280 ] What thoughts are left? I'm not entirely sure.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:00,720 ] Okay, we got lore.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:04,180 ] We've got.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:06,040 ] Epic moment. Famous Wiz.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:09,920 ] Famous tree.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:13,310 ] This famous treat for 300 still not taken.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:16,779 ] It's not taken. Here we go.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:18,640 ] Oh, no, no, no. I don't want it. I don't want it. That's not my strategy. How about epic moments for 100?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:27,770 ] Who was the musical guest at the Wizard Party at NFT NYC 2022?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:34,470 ] Um, Well, there was Oliver Tree, but there was also that really good DJ who played the wedding mix.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:42,740 ] I don't know.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:44,450 ] I don't know his name.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:52:46,910 ] But there was Oliver Tree.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:52:48,680 ] Yeah, Oliver Tree is what I was looking for. Correct. Good job. Great. All right. Now, Gene.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:52:55,620 ] Very nice. Okay.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:53:02,820 ] What do we got? Can I do Famous Wiz 100? Or is that already taken?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:53:08,100 ] Famous Wiz for 100. Yes, we still got that open. Okay. The Most Famous Witch Pyromancer.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:53:15,510 ] is named what? Or who owns them?
Wild Mage [ 00:53:18,550 ] What?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:53:19,460 ] famous witch pyromancer.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:53:22,500 ] Uh... The most famous witch pyromancer.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:53:29,619 ] I'm at a loss here. Let me try to think. Peace.
Wild Mage [ 00:53:37,620 ] The only great witches I know are swamp witches. Tabitha? That's it. But he's got nothing to do with fire. Oh, my goodness.
Wild Mage [ 00:53:49,080 ] Oh, come on. I thought this was a softball. Is it a layup? Are you for real? Yes. Oh, God.
Wild Mage [ 00:53:56,520 ] I got nothing. I got nothing to do. All right, all right.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:53:59,400 ] It's Bathsheba, owned by Small Protect.
Wild Mage [ 00:54:04,049 ] All right.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:04,750 ] Fair enough. Fair enough. All right.
Wild Mage [ 00:54:06,090 ] All right.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:08,300 ] It was the first book ever to have lore put in the Book of Lore.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:54:13,730 ] Well, that's culturally significant. I can't believe I've fumbled that one. I love Small. He's amazing. And he makes such badass edits to his 3D model.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:54:28,010 ] The gens he's been doing for his, oh man, it's so good.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:30,840 ] Dude, he goes back a long time. I almost bought Bathsheba off of him, but I convinced him to keep her when I told him that that was the significance of the lore.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:39,700 ] He was like, 'All right, well, you're not going to get her.'
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:43,410 ] Um, okay.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:54:44,270 ] So I got a question. Hey, and I got a question real quick. I was, uh, I was distracted for a moment. Did Bill, uh, did Bill successfully answer his question?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:52,270 ] Yes, yes.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:54:53,510 ] How many points was that?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:54,740 ] That was 100.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:54:56,160 ] All right, cool.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:54:56,960 ] Now Gene did not. Okay, Mr. Brown.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:01,340 ] I have lore for a hundred.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:08,140 ] Go ahead.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:08,830 ] I've got famous treats.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:12,090 ] We're on top of Amherst Street.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:14,040 ] For which one?
Wild Mage [ 00:55:16,270 ] For $100.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:17,180 ] All right. What treat recently sold for over three E's?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:30,020 ] Wait, what was the question?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:31,980 ] Who? What treat? Recently sold for over three E's.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:41,700 ] Like three Ethereum? Yeah.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:47,340 ] Um, Like, what does recent mean?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:51,070 ] Like, last two weeks.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:53,380 ] Focus Shadows.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:54,800 ] Correct.
Wild Mage [ 00:55:56,600 ] Bam.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:57,080 ] Very nice.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:55:58,880 ] Bill, you've got two questions left. Famous Treats for $300 or the Rooniverse? Excuse me. Or more.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:07,710 ] I'll take What, is it LARP or 300?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:56:11,760 ] Lore for 100 and Famous Treats for 100.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:15,380 ] Give me R for 100.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:17,490 ] No, no, no.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:56:20,780 ] I was going to say, Bill, you want to go for the 300 one if you have a chance to win.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:26,000 ] Are you not deducting points for... For questions that get answered wrong?
SPEAKER_8 [ 00:56:30,930 ] No.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:31,550 ] Now. We need to figure this out.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:34,670 ] Yeah. I thought you were doing this like real definitely. Okay.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:56:38,760 ] No, no. Currently, Nalgene's at $300. Bill's at $200. Maester's at $400. So Bill's got a chance to possibly get to $500. Nalgene would then have a chance to tie it up if he does not get that $300 question.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:56:52,390 ] Do we have any, like, all or nothing Jeopardy questions for the end, perhaps?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:56:57,660 ] I'm kind of in a pickle here. I screwed myself. I can't win.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:01,180 ] No.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:02,640 ] But if Bill gets this one wrong, you can tie it up with Maester, and we'll figure out a Lord question on the fly. All right, all right. Love it.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:57:11,190 ] Wait, wait, wait. Nobody's won the last two weeks, right?
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:57:14,460 ] Nobody's ever known.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:57:17,380 ] You got a really jacked up game going on, guys.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:57:22,110 ] That's coming from the winner so far. So watch it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:57:26,170 ] Oh.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:57:30,320 ] All right, man, what is it? Which one?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:57:33,140 ] Which one? Give me the famous treat for $300. Let's go for it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:57:37,100 ] Famous treats for $300. What is black? Made of iron and has green slime in it.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:57:49,040 ] Oh, man.
Casper Shadows [ 00:57:51,700 ] Thank you.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:57:56,940 ] The Witch's Cauldron.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:57:58,620 ] Correct.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:57:59,790 ] Oh, good call, good call.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:01,430 ] Man.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:03,790 ] Taking the lead.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:05,510 ] Okay. It's time to embarrass myself.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:58:08,900 ] What special powers does the Null Goat have?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:12,990 ] Oh, man, and give a hoots in the crowd. I'm going to disappoint. Oh, gosh.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:58:18,430 ] Give a hoots in the crowd? Nice. ¡Oye, a ver!
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:21,880 ] Okay. Um, I, the Null Goat, um, uh, boy, I... Um... Uh, well.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:37,140 ] I really, really don't have anything for you. I mean, they're ghosts.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:43,190 ] Exceedingly loyal. They eat just about anything, you know. He could potentially time travel or shift between dimensions.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:58:55,029 ] That's my best guess.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:58:58,060 ] No, he's a null goat because he nullifies the effect of magic.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:59:03,050 ] Oh! Why?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:59:06,290 ] Quite the opposite.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:59:09,220 ] Thank you.
Casper Shadows [ 00:59:11,470 ] Hooray!
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:59:12,570 ] What's the scores?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:14,660 ] The final scores are Nalgene with 300, Maester with 400, and our winner. This week, our first winner. Bill with 500 points.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:59:26,710 ] 500 points. Bill, you receive a Mecha Pony.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:32,370 ] Oh, not only that, does he receive the Mecha Pony and the Castamere piece of art?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:38,770 ] Yes.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:59:39,210 ] Yes. Yes, he does. I love it. Good job, Bill. Congratulations.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:59:44,140 ] I get cast in New Year's art. The one is 10.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:48,030 ] FU-Now, Gene, what's your vote? Now, Gene, what's your vote? Does Bill get the piece of art, too?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:55,459 ] Why wouldn't he? Okay. Amen. It's across the board. It's unanimous.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:00:02,470 ] Beautiful.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:00:03,900 ] Well, you know what? I had a lot of fun doing the Jeopardy contest. We might have to run that back next week.
SPEAKER_4 [ 01:00:09,590 ] I like to do it every week. That was fun. That was very good. I do like the format better.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:00:14,250 ] Were the questions too hard for everybody? I thought they were pretty easy.
SPEAKER_4 [ 01:00:17,450 ] No, they were good. They were good. They were great, yeah. I like to have like eight levels.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:00:23,720 ] All right. I'll work out a better format for next week.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:00:28,760 ] Yeah, we'll figure it out together. I'm sure you could ask the logical one to help you generate questions.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:00:36,310 ] Oh, I just came up with the questions off the top of my head.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:00:39,110 ] Chao. Thank you. There you go. Beautiful.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:00:43,900 ] And I'm going to probably start listening to Sharon's every Monday and pull some stuff out of that which has a double. extra special. Like, oh, if you listen to Sharon's, you might get a hint for what's coming on tonight.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:00:56,010 ] Man, I missed that today. That was the first time I missed it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:01:00,660 ] Or may have a bear snake or somebody drop some on a wizard Wednesday and we'll use it on the Monday. I don't know, we'll see.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:01:09,280 ] All right. I'm going to more on Monday, guys.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:12,220 ] Well, I've got one more question for now, Gene. Do you have one more question for now, Gene, too? I do not. Okay, my final question for now, Gene.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:22,120 ] What kind of dance is your 3D Koopling Wizard going to do when it gets the Forgotten Runes Twitter spotlight tweet?
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:01:30,290 ] Hey, I got next.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:01:31,980 ] That's a great question.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:01:34,420 ] Um... Man. I, you know, I think salsa seems accurate. Yeah, we're going to go Tulsa.
Wild Mage [ 01:01:46,800 ] Tulsa.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:01:47,740 ] Yeah. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_6 [ 01:01:50,690 ] It is Moron Monday!
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:01:55,990 ] Thank you, Mr. Brown, for that. We want to thank all our guests for joining today. And then Wizard of Jeopardy, we're going to run it back next week with Leaf. He is going to be the guest. And some music tunes. I've got all my NFTs that I bought. I'm going to queue up next week's. Uh, NFT space with leaves, music, and uh, I really want to find that green hat wizard song he's got. I don't know where to find that, but I'm going to find that for next week. If you haven't heard of that one, that was one of the originals, I think. Um, but uh.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:02:31,140 ] Other than that, that's all I got.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:02:35,190 ] Amazing.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:02:37,060 ] It was a pleasure to be here. Thank you for having me. It's great to be here with you guys. We were glad to have you, Eugene.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:02:44,000 ] We're going to head on out, and we'll see you all next week.
SPEAKER_8 [ 01:02:47,370 ] Enjoy.
SPEAKER_0 [ 01:02:47,710 ] Have a good evening.
SPEAKER_8 [ 01:02:48,930 ] Bye, y'all.
Casper Shadows [ 01:03:08,560 ] We'll be right back.

SPEAKER_3 [ 00:02:30,330 ] Live from the Obsidian Tower.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:02:35,190 ] straight from the Rooniverse.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:02:38,550 ] This is Hen Boyd.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:02:41,290 ] Animal mode.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:02:42,790 ] We are in the Black Sands reporting on the news, ideas, and cult content in a mostly unbiased form. We've got a loaded-ass show for you tonight. Unbelievable things happened last week. Unbelievable things IRL happened last week. We just are breamin'. at the seams on stuff to talk about tonight.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:03:06,820 ] Thank you for joining us. This could easily be an hour and a half, two-hour show, but we don't want to cut into more on Monday though.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:03:13,120 ] I've got enough beer to sink a battleship here. Let's go.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:03:16,980 ] We're ready to go. I mean, I'm on vacation. I've been like— stirring the pot all day on the Twitter. And did you see that post Elon Musk put out saying, should we return X to Twitter? I voted to Twitter.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:03:33,920 ] Oh, was that? Now, Was that for sure, sure him? Because I've seen the Elon Musk parody account do that too, though.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:03:41,280 ] Oh, I don't know. I thought it was Elon Musk, but anyway.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:03:45,110 ] Oh, you might want to double check. That would be big, guys. I still call it Twitter. I'm always going to call it Twitter.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:03:51,060 ] Yeah, it's going to be Twitter. It's like a Xerox copy machine. Everybody's Xerox is shit. They don't fucking copy it or go to the cannon.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:03:58,960 ] And it's a Band-Aid.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:04:01,070 ] Yes, it is. I mean, it'll always be Twitter. Um, just like it'll always be Facebook.
SPEAKER_4 [ 00:04:06,690 ] You can confirm this was the official Elon Musk account. It was, yeah. Oh. Yeah, and I also remember that account not too long ago posting that anybody caught engagement farming would get in trouble for it. So here's looking at you, bud.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:04:22,670 ] There you go.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:04:25,250 ] Well, that is pretty major.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:04:28,510 ] We got a packed show tonight. Just to let y'all know tonight. We've got KG . Ron who is an influencer, gamer guy, straight from the street. Um, that is uh, Well-versed on the Runiverse, and he joined us last week. And as soon as he joined our show, he tweeted stuff about the Ronin. And what's the other thing? We got Meeple Dad here tonight. He's a cult legend that is here to talk about the Treasure Trove, get some support and ideas on his project. He's also running for the council. I see Zayla Soul is here as well. He's running for the Forgotten Rooms Dow Council.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:05:14,980 ] Um, yeah, we have an exclusive.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:16,740 ] We have an exclusive report tonight.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:19,810 ] We have five different questions that we gave each of the candidates, and we're going to review those after we go over the headlines.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:05:27,400 ] All right, let's get into the headlines, everybody. This has been a busy week. Obviously, if you don't know, former President Donald J. Trump was... had an assassination attempt on his life and a fellow was killed as a spectator and two critically injured. That is the... That was the biggest headline, I think, of the weekend. But what other news we get?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:53,270 ] Well, let me pull that up, actually.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:05:57,710 ] Um, let's see here. I know, man, the watchers rings have blown up.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:06:05,110 ] Yes. One-eath floor. Now it's about . 9-eath floor for the watcher's ring. And we got a good feeling that this has something to do with their pending game, the Rooniverse game on Roanoke.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:18,640 ] I mean, it really only makes sense. I mean, there's only 700 of them.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:23,539 ] And there's going to be a lot of players.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:26,170 ] And that's going to be a significant edge when it comes to mana generation.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:06:30,530 ] So... That's why I jumped in and bought several.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:06:35,380 ] Yes, and I want to confirm that Matasuki, who is the, I guess he's the program manager for the Runiverse game for Magic Machine on that end of Bisonic, he confirmed that there is going to be a mana generation type of... Thing just like it was in the first play test back in November. So, if you have a watcher's ring, you might get a you know a free 50, 100, 200. It may compound like it did in the game.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:04,280 ] So we're going to see what happens on those details. Dota and Bear were kind of ambiguous on what that Watcher's Ring would deliver in the future. Bear was always a big proponent of having that Watcher's Ring really deliver because they were expensive. From the get-go, I don't think they ever dip below 0. 325 ETH. During the Bear market of the last year.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:30,290 ] On our own.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:07:31,200 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:07:31,820 ] There's a lot of diamonds.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:07:33,430 ] They dipped. Oh.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:07:36,360 ] Yeah, hey, they dipped down to point one. And I had a wheat order filled at point one and then I Paper handed it at point two like a fool.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:07:50,370 ] Such is life.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:07:52,230 ] What else do we got here? What other headlines we got, Wild Mage? I'm looking at the OK. It's up here.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:07:58,420 ] Well, apparently there's going to be a Runiverse Zillow for the land plot. And, um... I'm kind of wondering what percentage are going to be earnable. And the coming like mana generation and sacrifice as opposed to what will be for sale.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:08:14,080 ] We ought to actually ask them on Wednesday or Wednesday.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:08:16,390 ] Yeah, we're going to have 77,000 LAN plots are going to be the max ever for this. I don't know what that compares to some of the other Web3 games, but they're going to do it. initial release of what, 13,000. We don't have a final number on this build for August, but if you have a land plot that you earn in the, what is it called? What was that first? Was it open season? or what did they call that first build?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:08:44,100 ] Uh... Wasn't it Something of Memories or something?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:08:47,740 ] Yeah, Eve of Memories, Bill.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:08:51,140 ] It was a small number of land plots that were earned. Some people bought them or bought the man to pull it. and received a land plot. We do know Bisonic received half of their investment in land plots earlier that year, back in March of 2023.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:09:11,100 ] So they, um... were paid in full on that. And so I guess they wanted a physical holding of what they had in inventory.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:09:20,410 ] Um, But, um... Yeah, so that's the deal with the land plots.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:09:28,130 ] What else we get?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:09:29,700 ] Goblin town, supposed to be on ice forever, apparently.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:09:33,370 ] Yeah, I think that they're going to run the magic machine is going to run the runiverse straight hardcore and do this. I think it's the, what is it? Oh.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:09:44,400 ] Don't bite the hair that feeds. So... uh, magic machine is gonna go ahead and put their allocations and resources into this game. And put Goblin Town on the back burner. Hey, it's a great idea. Thank you, Dota, for all that. And you know they have options, which is fantastic for... the core dev team to do that. You know, it kind of disappoints. We really wanted crates and we really wanted goblins and the trailer that Bear worked on so tirelessly. You know, it's not all for naught. It's just postponed. So we all know.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:10:17,720 ] If everybody's kind of fragmented on their thinking of where the Forgotten Runes and the Runiverse is going, it's to the game. This is where the focus is there. So the watcher's rings, the boxes, anything that integrates into that game is where you need to focus your attention to right now. It's not to mention that they don't have everything else. The ponies, I think, is another one.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:10:40,209 ] The ponies are a mount, and they're probably going to integrate those sooner than later because you can't have gold box, silver box mounts and not have the ponies, which are mounts. integrated into that. So if you don't have a forgotten rooms pony, they're really cheap right now—0. 6 each.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:10:59,640 ] Um, let's see here. Let's check right now, while we're talking.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:11:05,329 ] By the way, did you happen to win a Goblin Crate?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:11:09,120 ] Um, yeah, I got it. I mean, I was on a screen list from day one.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:11:12,040 ] Bro, Man, I want a goblin crate too. That's another wizard Wednesday question. We're gonna get a goblin crate in the universe game.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:11:21,680 ] But anyway, the floor for the ponies is currently 0. 67. Yes, yeah, that's still in fact, there's one with a wizard hat and a scarf for 0. 79 right now Joe Tun the odd that is um That's a decent deal for $0. 79. and there's a there's a pony that's smoking a pipe for 1. 2 Ethereum again a deal considering I bought most of my ponies at 2 Ethereum Absolutely.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:11:58,360 ] Let's go ahead and get into the we don't want to get into elections. It's pretty divisive right now, considering what's happened last weekend.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:12:08,089 ] Dota comes out Dota comes out against bots in the game Yeah, apparently he happened to mention that uh, he was going to be um, I guess specifically focused on uh Trying to nip that in the bud just because of the fact that if he doesn't. then, you know. bots will simply overrun the game. So it is a priority.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:12:32,650 ] Yes. And I want to give a big shout out to Castamere for delivering my commission that I commissioned two months ago for The Rats Lady. And it was absolutely spectacular. Castamere, thank you so much. And I hope you learned a lot. And thank you so much for that art. It is just an absolute delight to have somebody—like me— draw something from Forgotten Runes. And put so much love into that. And, um, like I just want to say thank you for putting so much love into that. I never anticipated you to spend that much time on that thing. And, if anybody's looking to have art commissioned, DM Castamere. Or see him on more on Monday, he's willing to do that for you. And there's nothing like having IRL art for your wizard or warrior, and I think that we'll be rewarded. What do you think, Wild Mage?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:13:31,770 ] I think it's possible in the long run because I feel like a point system ... may be coming. That um would incorporate how many lore posts you've made and that sort of thing.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:13:43,490 ] I mean, I don't know for sure, but I kind of get that hunch.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:13:51,460 ] Yeah, Casimir has definitely done work for me too, so I definitely recommend him. He has a very, um... He has a very clean and anime and anime style. That's a... I enjoy it.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:14:06,850 ] Yeah, when he delivered that final version, I thought he was going to be a little bit more risque on the art for her, and it wasn't. I was like, okay, okay, well, I'll work with this. Um, not work with this but it's fantastic but um.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:14:22,170 ] He's really got a good handle on everything there. Thank you. Um, What's it going to say? Daniela Islustria's work on Two Crows Bazaar. She keeps... producing. On. Yes, she does.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:14:39,600 ] Makes me wonder when two crows is gonna pop back up. I would imagine, you know him and bear sneaker buddy. So Maybe Jukers is going to come back out of nowhere. We need to get him on Monday Magic News.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:14:50,610 ] I think we should. He was on one of the original three episodes we had on video.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:14:56,680 ] And I did a live session with him. and from California.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:15:01,880 ] And I got to get that uploaded.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:15:05,610 ] We're going to get that pulled. And two crows, if y'all don't know, he's just a cult legend. He's been away for about a year and a half, but not forgotten. I mean, like Daniella still. is drawing his stuff and his lore in the runes TCG. It's just, it is unremovable. That's what I would like to say. And that's a lot of the stuff that we have in Forgotten Runes. If you're new from Ronin and you're coming in here, three years of development. There's people that did two years worth of stuff or one year or six months. That if they join tomorrow, like the Hall of Cats again.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:15:44,420 ] They picked up where they left off. There's a lot of that. And I think I looked. There he is. a couple cult members notable cult members that come to mind is curator and uh he's a big gamer guy and he And he took an eight-month hiatus. And came back. And there's some other ones.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:04,150 ] You know, retired year old farmer poked his head up like, where you been, dude? And he's a beast owner. And who was I talking to that? Nikita. Nikita poked his head today. And I was like, what in the hell? So.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:18,580 ] You know.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:19,830 ] Keep building, y'all. You're not forgotten. We can't wait to see your head pop up again.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:16:26,370 ] There's plenty of space for more creation in this space.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:29,450 ] And plenty of space for more creation. And the Black Eden. It's coming.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:35,540 ] With our lore stuff too. Jason is next week.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:16:39,849 ] Jason is next week and he's been making a lot of, uh, like— Well, sort of, I don't know. Forgotten runes sort of website toys. We're gonna have to talk to him about that. He's been busy.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:16:51,570 ] He has been busy. He's also been tweeting on Twitter on Donald Trump, and we're going to have to confront him about this to find out what in the world is going on. But, yeah, I mean, we're going to have to talk to him about it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:05,400 ] Oh, do we want to do we want to? I know we have some more headlines, but we probably need to go ahead and jump into the interviews real quick. Let's do it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:15,060 ] All right, so.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:17,030 ] We... sent five questions out to each of the six candidates, and one of them didn't respond, unfortunately. But we've got five others, and I'm going to go over the answers.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:29,760 ] So, Meeple Dad, first question. If elected, how often will you visit? More on Mondays. About as often as I do now, once a month or so.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:39,610 ] I don't expect my moronicness to change much on account of my newfound fam.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:45,650 ] Two, if elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the Wizard Dow? Meebles answer, until the singularity. After that, all bets are off. Okay. Three.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:17:55,960 ] Could you realistically kill, with your bare hands, each of the seven forgotten runes spawned? Elaborate.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:03,470 ] I feel like this is an important question for a Wizarddale candidate.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:07,400 ] Cockatrice Egg! No problem. 8-2 for breakfast.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:11,810 ] Slime! No. Impossible. Too cute to harm.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:16,800 ] Fox pup, what kind of monster are you? Too cute. Bugbear bastard. I'd send him to his room to think about what he's done instead. Chimera Cub, unlikely. They would probably fuck me up. It's fun. Bare hands? No. With a fly swatter? Yes.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:32,870 ] Kelpie spawn? No. Couldn't do it, but I won third place in an aqua aerobics rodeo for riding one last summer.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:40,460 ] This is lore, people.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:18:43,480 ] Number four, describe how your experience in crypto and FT spaces have made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard DAO. I see crypto and NFTs more like the fun side of collectibles. I've been in the business of buying and selling collectibles through Magic: The Gathering since 2012, and this is similar. Specifically, the community side. Building community is literally my job and I love it. Something, something, like wizard, by wizard, fun emoji.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:19:09,470 ] And then number five, what are the three main goals you wish to achieve if elected to a seat on the Wizard DAO?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:19:14,800 ] And Maple Dan's answer was... One brings more creators into the cult to connect wizard talent within the cult. Three, keep the Dow fine.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:19:24,940 ] Then we have DeFi's answers. If elected, how often will you visit? More on Mondays. My day job doesn't allow me to make every Monday, but I'll commit to at least once monthly.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:19:35,590 ] Well, there you go.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:19:38,040 ] I didn't buy you showing up.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:19:39,570 ] At least one of them, I think. If elected, for how long do you do it? What? If elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the wizard down? If elected, my mission would be to help create a mission person. mission purpose statement for the Dow that aligns with and complements the present trajectory of Magic Machine. Adheres to the spirit of Forgotten Runes and its culture, and then ultimately token holders and their interests. This might mean a narrower focus that some would expect given the evolving resources and engagement in the space.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:20:12,240 ] How long do you... yeah, if elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the wizard dow UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Oh wait, that was what he is. Okay.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:20:24,920 ] And then he's got, all right. Could you realistically kill with your bare hands each of the seven forgotten runes spawned? Elaborate. Amplings carry daggers and flies, so that is obviously, that's going to be a tough one. I'd rather not take my chances. Plus, I don't want to get on the bad side of the Nightmare Imp, a . k . a. Panico. Also, I can't swim well, so the Kelpie is going to be a question mark for me.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:20:45,170 ] However, throw me in a battle with the egg bugbear fox. Come here and slime any day. Unless there's some magic I'm not aware of. Piece of cake.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:20:53,130 ] Describe how your experience in crypto NFT spaces have made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard DAO. DeFi's answer was, I've been in the space since 2021 in my first entry. was into NFTs. Well, in law school, I took an NFT IP licensing project and spoke at NFT NYC about the issues in the space and paths forward. More recently, I've focused on the NFT space as a collector and hobbyist. My day job is as a corporate M&A lawyer, but I also maintain a strong focus on digital assets.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:21:24,450 ] And then he has a bio. And yeah.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:21:27,890 ] Of course he does.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:21:29,050 ] Of course he does. I'm going to post the answer. We're going to post the answers later. So that way I'm not reading fast. So. What are the three main goals to achieve if elected to a seat on the Wizard Dow DeFi's answer, one. Clear mission purpose statement for the DAO. Two. Steered out towards achieving this mission. Three, ensure the DAO embraces the evolving nature of the crypto space. Both art and technology, I believe, our community has always been focused on and benefited from crypto tech exploration for newcomers and experts alike.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:02,340 ] And then we have Bridget's answers.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:05,710 ] If elected, how often will you visit more on Mondays? Every time!
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:10,560 ] Well... So there's Dana. There's that. How, if elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on The Wizard now?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:18,810 ] And Bridget's answer was, until my son is old enough to accept his birthright or someone more suited to the position comes along.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:27,060 ] Okay. Cambridge beat up.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:30,180 ] All of the, uh, Forgotten Rune Spawns? Yes, all of them is his answer.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:35,530 ] Describe how your experience in crypto and NFT spaces have made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard DAO. And Bridge's answer was Iron Wizard. My rune is put. Witness me.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:22:50,650 ] He got straight to it. What are the three main goals you wish to achieve if elected to a seat on the Wizard DAO? And Bridge's answer was... One, submit more proposals by improving the process.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:04,840 ] Two, resubmit failed proposals by talking about their process. Three, help create the first successful DAO in Web 3. 0. The one that all of the communities can point to as the gold standard of ownerless operations.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:19,910 ] Fabulous. If elected, how often will you visit more on Mondays? Fabulous answer is at least once.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:27,670 ] Ha ha ha!
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:29,820 ] Hey.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:31,020 ] If elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the Wizard Dow? And Fabula's answer is long enough to make a difference.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:39,739 ] Could Fabula beat up all the Forgotten Runes? Fine. Each and every one. With kindness.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:23:47,050 ] Aww.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:23:50,740 ] And then of course describe how your experience in crypto NFT spaces have made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard Dow. And Fabula's answer is: 'Been a speculator for a long time, Bitcoin in 2013.' I've made web3 games since 2020. I have produced projects with total revenue of 80 million plus. I understand the tech and have a vision for mainstreaming blockchain into everyday life.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:12,980 ] And the three goals, if elected?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:15,870 ] Fabulous says: go one, make a standard rubric for judging project fitness; goal two, create an open source framework for metadata to to enable composability of content across chains and Forgotten Runes ecosystem; goal three, make it easy for people to play in Rootiverse World's IRL on tabletop with an array of projects.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:35,820 ] And then we have Zayla Sol's answer.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:38,820 ] If elected, how often will you visit? More on Mondays. And Zesa has been visiting every week. We'll continue to try and do so.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:24:47,040 ] and then two I've elected out for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the wizard down And Zay says, there's a few reasons I would leave the Dow. to serve as long as I'm needed until someone better comes along until voted off until the framework changes that causes there to be less seats or until the dow runs out of money Three.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:25:09,850 ] Good day. Good day, beta.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:25:13,699 ] The Seven Forgotten responds with his bare hands.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:25:17,340 ] Zay's answer was, I don't think I'd kill any spawns. Aren't they like an endangered species or something? Besides, most of them are too cute anyways. Thank you. I guess they kind of are in danger. There's not a lot of them. Um... Describe, Eric, how your experience of crypto and NFT spaces have made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard DAO. Zay's answer was: 'I think my networking communication skills could go a long way. I've also i've always been on early trends, whether it's discovering Joe Rogan or Kendrick Lamar before they ever got famous, to becoming interested in esoteric ideologies before the woke folks saturated the space. I've always been on the frontier of cultural development, and I think that's reflected in the seeds I've helped planted in the community of the Web3 people I've already spent time around. Like Dialectic and some of the board members from 10KTF.' Well, there's something I'm passionate about. A tunnel vision kicks in.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:09,780 ] And then the final question: what are the three main goals you wish to achieve if elected to a seat on the Wizard Dale? And Zay's answer was... help replenish dow funds, plant more seeds in the community, and more than anything, learn and grow from this experience. Because we're still so early, this kind of experience with the aaa nft project might not be available to the average person down the line. Not that I'm average in any way, but growing up in Goblin Town has definitely made me made things difficult.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:40,170 ] And then a Goblin Bandit emoji.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:44,220 ] That's it. That is it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:26:47,050 ] So we're going to post those up later.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:26:48,850 ] Congratulations to the candidates. Please go and vote. Sorry to interrupt.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:26:53,160 ] Hey, uh, Wild Mage, I had sent mine a bit. before the show started. I'm Franco, by the way. Oh, oh, Franklin. Yeah, I've been on the road all day, so.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:27:04,820 ] had to uh submit it in but it's it's on the disc oh no you did okay you know what we'll jump in oh you you did get it right on time three minutes before so you know what Franco let's go Franco's answers. If elected, how often will you visit More on Mondays? As a dedicated member of the community, I plan to visit More on Mondays every week. This will allow me to stay connected with the community, address any concerns, and provide updates on the DAO's progress. Regular participation is crucial for maintaining transparency and fostering a sense of unity among us wizards. Two, if elected, for how long do you intend to retain your seat on the Wizard Dow? I intend to retain my seat on the Wizard Dow for as long as I can effectively contribute to the community. I am committed to a minimum term of one year, but I am prepared to serve longer if the community believes I am making a positive impact and there is work still to be done.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:27:52,070 ] Three, could you realistically kill with your bare hands each of the seven forgotten runes spawn? Elaborate. While the physical might to defeat the seven forgotten runesponses with bare hands is beyond mortal capability, the essence of being a wizard is to use and elect strategy and magic. Each spawn from the Chaos Chimera to the Seven-Tailed Kitsune possesses unique strengths. Overcoming these beasts would require understanding their lore, harnessing the collective power of our community, and using the appropriate magical tools and strategies we developed. I really don't want any beasts killed. If they are a threat to our overall wizard society, and with the agreement of the Rooniverse, only then would I consider killing the beasts if it does more good than harm for our longevity. If not, I would try to banish these beasts using intellect to lure them somewhere to banish them away, much like Poe did in Kung Fu Panda. I don't want to kill or hurt anything, even if it hurts me.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:28:40,620 ] Number four describes how your experience in crypto NFT spaces has made you an ideal candidate for a seat on the Wizard Dow Franco's response. I have good experience in the NFT space and a deep understanding of the underlying technology, including blockchain and distributed ledger technology. Currently, I work in the luxury fashion space where we sell collectible, luxury, and designer boutique items. We also have our in-house brand in the space, counterfeit items, and logistical challenges are prevalent, especially with fast-selling items like sneakers. To address these issues, my company is turning tangible assets into tokenized assets within a centralized system known as VIRLS. These assets remain in our vault and are traded digitally on the blockchain until they reach the end user. This reduces environmental impact and improves authenticity. My ongoing work in this area keeps me in touch with the latest developments in the NFT space. Making me an ideal candidate for the wizard now. Yeah, man, I've always predicted that, like, the whole luxury goods space was eventually gonna like, literally, just turn your receipt into like, the NFT token, so that way, the whole black market really like can't compete because what are they gonna do?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:46,380 ] Spoof a transaction from the original contract from Louis Vuitton? No, they won't. They cannot.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:29:55,920 ] Come in soon. Come in soon. Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:29:57,600 ] And number five, what are the three main goals you wish to achieve if elected to a seat on the wizard now?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:02,950 ] One, enhance community engagement. I aim to create more interactive platforms and events that encourage participation and creativity. Ensuring every wizard feels valued and heard. To promote lore and artistic contributions. By supporting artists and storytellers within our community. I want to enrich the collective lore and encourage a vibrant culture of creativity. Three, facilitate metaverse integration. I will work towards advancing our mission of gradually migrating the consciousness of our wizards into the metaverse. Leveraging emerging technologies to enhance our digital presence and interactions.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:30:38,830 ] and there you go, an exclusive five questions answered by the wizard, doubt candidates, and the election ends next Monday, I think at 8: 30 p. m. central, so 9: 30 p. m. eastern. Well, just vote by Monday.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:30:59,990 ] Yeah, vote, y'all. These are some great candidates. I don't think you can go wrong with anybody, but Monday Magic News has one vote. And we cast it for one person.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:13,660 ] We did.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:31:16,530 ] We did. I already did.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:18,490 ] Who do we vote for?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:31:20,610 ] I don't remember. Anyway, Meeble Dad is up next.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:31:24,900 ] For the Trusted Trove update.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:27,140 ] No, we got it. Did you vote for Meeple, Dad?
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:31:31,370 ] Yes. All right, let's go.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:31:34,050 ] Meeple there, let's go crazy bro!
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:31:39,770 ] All right, Meeple Dad, let's go. Good to see you, gang. We've got a lot of really important questions. I want to hear about your bots.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:31:47,680 ] Very cool. Nice to see everyone. Thanks for the vote of confidence. And, but we are so blessed.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:31:54,140 ] We are just so lucky to have such outstanding, you know, uh, candidates across the board. It is just remarkable. So really, definitely get out there, learn about our candidates and cast your vote and participate because this DAO can get a lot of great stuff done. Already has and will continue to do so. So um, let's dive in. I want to talk quickly about the Treasure Trove community merch box. Speaking of cool things, the DAO has a hand in.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:32:23,670 ] and I want to just give a quick overview of the project for maybe new folks, people who've never seen it, people who didn't get the first treasure trove. Um, and so everyone can sort of get an understanding of of what this opportunity is and why they should get involved. Um, So, you know, this way, way, way many moons ago, back in 2021, Magic Machine, the company that started Forgotten Runes, created sort of a merch box that the community could purchase. And it had a bunch of cool stuff in it, candles and hoodies and a bunch of neat old things.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:33:02,260 ] And I missed it because I wasn't part of the community back then. And when I did join the community, I found out everybody got these cool... Physical goods and I had such fomo I was like, 'Well, we're gonna make our own' and so I created the very first community merch box back in 2020. It was a ton of fun. It brought together many different things that community members had built. People had been building these cool games, and pieces of merch, and designing custom socks and things like that. So we bundled all that together to manufacture. A whole bunch at once, because when we build a bunch of these all at the same time, we save a lot of manufacturing costs. And then we bundled a bunch of different objects together into one box so that we could save on shipping. Because sometimes the shipping cost is as much or more than the product you're buying, depending on what it is that you're getting.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:34:01,450 ] The idea was, let's make a lot of these. And put a bunch of stuff together and get a bunch of cool stuff into people's hands and so the 2024 community merch box has just been approved by the community—uh— by Dow vote. We i put it up for uh— just saying hey, let's get some Dow support, some real community support behind this, so that this is something we're all working on together. Because it's fun if I build some cool stuff, but it's way more fun if people all get together, collaborate, and create some really fun stuff as a team.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:34:37,170 ] That was the mission. Uh, that's the mission, and we're at the phase right now where I'm still really hoping that we can get a few more people to sort of share their favorite idea or something they're excited about that they'd love to see. We've already taken a few community um Thank you. suggestions and incorporated them in. So, if you've got something exciting that you would love to see in the community merch box, reach out or jump on stage right now and share some ideas because it's really only as much fun as we all have building it.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:35:20,220 ] So, if people have ideas, don't be shy. Request to come up, join us on stage, and share an idea. And I'll share a few of the objects that are for sure going to get manufactured and included in this merch box. And then, if anyone has any ideas that they want to share as well. Um, hop on up and share some. So... I'm a huge gamer. My day job, I organize Magic the Gathering, collectible trading card game tournaments.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:35:53,380 ] That's what I do for work, so I love games, uh, and bringing people together through games. One of the things that we're going to include in this merch box is some cult content trading cards. And these are Wild Mage Henboy. I'm sharing a couple of the prototypes with you. in Discord now, I don't know how to attach them to the Twitter Spaces because I'm not very good at these things. But um, the idea is that these are going to be physical collectible trading cards that we manufacture. And we've got sort of a stock template that I've been working with Feckless and Vmark on. And so every character in the entire three collections— Wizards, Warriors, and Souls— we're going to try to get them all built. Um, 27, 000 characters or so. And then... Put them out there and say, 'Hey, if you've got your character and you want to see your character sort of up in lights in the card collection.'
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:37:04,320 ] Submit, you know, share a piece of artwork that you've gotten custom made, either commissioned or that you created yourself. And let's get your character into the trading card collection.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:37:17,650 ] Hey, Meeple, how many unique tokens are in Magic the Gatherer? Give us a perspective. So we got 26,000 of Forgotten Runes. How many are in Magic?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:37:27,850 ] That's a great question. So there are over 20,000 unique Magic the Gathering cards already. Now that's been getting built over. 30 years, you know. And so the fact that we've created, you know, this collection has swollen to be a similar size already in three years speaks to this idea of speed running a franchise, you know. So. Let's try to get some of them printed so that we can physically do stuff with them because how much fun is that going to be? So.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:38:03,589 ] I had no idea. It was only $20,000. I was thinking it was like $150,000 or something like that.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:38:10,480 ] Ursklas, whatever. You know, collection or Ursula Saga or whatever.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:38:15,540 ] There have been many cards that have been reprinted multiple times, either with different artwork or things like that. So it's mostly just the unique cards that I was counting. If you count every variant and every version, I don't even know how many. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:38:35,090 ] But yeah, so that's uh, but the the idea with this is that we people have been creating custom artwork for their characters for so long. So let's get some of that custom artwork out there on some cards for the world to see. Um, And yeah, so that's that's the sort of the headliner product that I'm really excited about that's going to be in the treasure trove. Um, And the other one I'm really excited about is the Secret Tower Lego set. So I've designed a miniature Secret Tower Lego set which is really really fun and cool and uh, and I'll spoil a little a little treat. Um, for those it is actually going to have a secret compartment inside it uh that fits your forgotten runes ledger. So inside the secret tower, you can stash your literal secrets, which is really cool. I'll share a video of that for people who want to see exactly how it works.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:39:35,570 ] But that's going to be really fun. And then...
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:39:38,170 ] Can't wait.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:39:39,930 ] Buddy, it's so fun. It's so fun. I'm going to get one packed up and off so you can get your kids to test it out for us.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:39:48,209 ] It's going to be really cool.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:39:49,950 ] So what you're saying with the magic cards, is this like a because I'm imagining Wild Mage is going to be a red and blue wizard?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:39:59,200 ] Are we going that far?
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:40:01,920 ] Oh, man. So what I've done is I have taken... If you want me to go down the rabbit hole of these content trading cards, I am happy to.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:40:10,860 ] I also want Wild Mage to have a Counterspell action and a Millstone action just because... Fuck the other player. Fuck.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:40:20,530 ] Until your car is getting grinded.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:40:22,840 ] I'll be honest, I'm not going that deep into these cards. We're not creating custom Magic: The Gathering cards per se. These are... trading cards that are going to have some of the aspects of your characters on them but there won't be a whole rule set there. There isn't a whole trading card game I've built just yet. But the idea is that we build these cards and leave them sort of open-ended so that maybe somebody picks up these cards and starts creating a game that you can play with them. Or, you know, each one has the token ID on it. Right. So, for example. Know my hedge wizard, Lucinda. Her token ID is 4409. Wizard, right? So maybe somebody wants to take the token IDs and have those translate to a specific rule set or card set. It's sort of a blank slate, a template that people could build off of. And in the meantime, it functions as a way to celebrate the artwork that people have been getting created. For their characters over the last three years.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:41:25,690 ] And don't worry, if you don't have custom artwork created for yours yet, maybe you just got... Your token maybe you've been procrastinating, like I was. I've built in uh, we've got an artist shadow uh, who's working with me, who's hopefully going to be able to do customs for people to get them created in time to fit into the collection. Shadow does amazing work and he works quickly. So hopefully we can get some customs done to get included in the collection. I shared a little sneak peek last week of 'Hedge Wizard Lucindo,' one of my wizards, who got a custom done. So that's that.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:42:09,270 ] That's the first two items. And then, of course, we need clothing. Wizards need clothing. So there's going to be a hoodie. And you mentioned Daniela Ilustra. I've gotten her on board. She's going to be doing the design for the hoodie. And it's going to be just a real simple, sleek. Join the cult with a nice piece of line work on the back. And then maybe some embroidery on the front. Keep it simple. Keep it clean and crisp. Um, and then I want to get a t-shirt in there too. That was one of Elf's number ones. He's like, 'Nice cotton tee.' So let's, let's design a nice cotton tee.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:42:48,990 ] Hey, Meeple Dad, I just wanted to add in something. If you guys would like to use some of our resources for clothing, we could set something up. So we You know, I work in the luxury fashion space, but we also have an in-house brand. So these are luxury items, but... We could use some of these resources for the Rooneyverse as well. So the uh, if you guys want to see references, it's uh, you could go to yvxmarket. com. Or look up Viviettes on Instagram and then... If you see the way it's made, if you like it, let me know. And, uh, we did.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:43:30,860 ] Get something set up to enhance.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:32,900 ] This is amazing. This is amazing. This is exactly why we're here. And this is what I was hoping would come from tonight. So please shoot me a message. Let's connect because, yeah.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:43:42,100 ] Sure, I'll text you on. Yeah, we met in NFT NYC. I don't know if you remember the yellow-hatted wizard that was walking around.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:43:49,860 ] Buddy that was a that whole week was a blur. I i'm sure I can't wait to connect again, but um. Yeah.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:43:57,960 ] I think I have pictures of you.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:00,310 ] Let's.
SPEAKER_7 [ 00:44:00,880 ] All right, well, I'll hit you up on YouTube.
SPEAKER_0 [ 00:44:02,220 ] Please, yeah, please, yeah. Because that's one of the things that's always been a marvel to me about the cult is that there's just so many people building amazing stuff who have these amazing connections. So let's use them to get the best possible outcome for our community and for this new brand that we're all building together. So. Yeah, so hoodie, T-shirt, and custom socks. And there's going to be a few other items, but we've got some wiggle room on that. So, again, reach out if you want to be part of it.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:29,860 ] Y'all got any suggestions, ideas, or content you'd like to have presented? He is very responsive, and we'll get you on that box. I got the Gen 1 box. It was $250. worth every cent and um. Early supporters were rewarded with another box. I don't know if we're going to do that again, but we had some very generous.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:44:51,390 ] international wizards that uh funded this dow proposal in the first time and I can't imagine that we don't get the same damn support the second time because it was a small ass. So please.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:45:06,810 ] Get in touch with Meeple Dad. I was talking to him today.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:45:11,390 ] Some other things and just very responsive, very professional. And this is going to get done. And I have a copy of the first number, 69.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:45:20,840 ] of the first box. So, you know, it's still going. Hey, let's transition. We got a big guest tonight.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:45:27,860 ] Yes.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:45:29,970 ] KG . 1.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:32,800 ] Yo. Can you guys hear me?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:45:36,160 ] We can.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:37,780 ] Yeah, what's up? Does this sound good? Because I'm using headphones right now.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:45:42,600 ] Okay. Okay. Now we can hear you. What else do you use? Do you not just, you just raw dog the video or what? Wait, wait, say it again, say it again.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:50,690 ] Give me a second. Let me take these headphones out. They suck.
Wild Mage [ 00:45:55,410 ] Yep.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:03,360 ] Let me grab another White Claw.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:46:05,470 ] What's up, guys? What's up, guys? Yo, thank you guys for having me. I appreciate it. I appreciate you guys inviting me to this. I will say. That I'm pretty new to Forgotten Runes in terms of getting inside the game and understanding it. But I did... I guess we can get into those details later, but yeah, I'm glad to see the community kind of coming together like this. This might seem small now, but this kind of community events on Twitter and small gatherings, they turn into something quite important down the road. So I don't know if you guys are... ever discouraged by numbers. Well, tell me some experience on that, Gagey.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:46:47,800 ] How do these small gatherings become the biggest thing in the damn world? Tell us.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:46:54,220 ] Yeah, I mean, because they're so niche and they're so focused on community growth.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:47:01,480 ] Um. The people that are really really interested in the IP and I could tell you this from from an Axie perspective when I was here in 2020. It was really small. It was only 250 people, 500 people max in early 2020. So some of you might have been there.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:47:19,300 ] And, um... You know, we used to have this thing called Axie Chat. Only a few people used to show up on Discord as well. And then over time, as... People, you know, came into the ecosystem, to the AXA ecosystem. It started growing, and that was kind of the place to meet every single week.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:47:41,070 ] Do become important over time because people want to know. People that are really connected with a brand they start craving content and they gotta find it somewhere. Right. And this is one of those right.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:47:57,590 ] I would say not only that, but something that's very special about these community spaces.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:48:03,920 ] Is that? Almost more so than in real life. Like your words and actions. Like really resonate because, like, behind screens that's all we can see.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:48:15,910 ] Like, and so as a result, like, I've found that, um... Some of the folks that I've met in this community are definitely some of the most like Word is bond-like type, folks.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:48:31,540 ] Yeah, absolutely. This is one of the best things you guys could have done. I mean, 65 episodes is crazy, man.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:48:38,390 ] That's crazy. Really? Yeah, it is crazy because a lot of people would have been discouraged by now. Trust me. This is not easy.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:48:47,130 ] Thank you. Well, we're committed to the cult.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:48:49,800 ] We did literally have an episode on Christmas where only my dad attended.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:48:58,340 ] Hmm.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:00,230 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:49:02,220 ] Well, KJ, we got some questions for you, Wild Mage. Let's get into it.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:49:06,760 ] Alright, let's see here. So... It seems like you really... Was it getting an accent that really... Like drew you into uh getting really heavily involved in this all and and being and being active in a social media like way in the in this community and early on as well. Or was it Axie or something else?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:49:34,160 ] Yeah, I mean, we can take it back, and I'm going to do it pretty quick. I don't want to bore you guys to death. No, no, you got to let us know.
Wild Mage [ 00:49:41,000 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:49:41,720 ] Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've always been kind of... you know, looking to to do something something different in my life the whole my whole time like always I always been kind of like an outlier in terms of like you know, coming up with ideas and stuff like that. My first, you know, kind of business idea was a brand called 'Chilling Hard'— kind of like a competition to [I still have the brand].
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:50:09,460 ] I'm probably gonna spark it up again in the future when I start traveling. It's more like a traveling brand, something like Quicksilver or Hurley. Kind of do the competition to those kind of brands. I didn't have the money. I got sued. Definitely get it. Yeah, I got sued by... by a big law firm. That owned the name at that moment I didn't know. I didn't know, like, I had to register it. Like, I was still kind of, like, understanding that there's things you need to do this process so that whatever idea you come up with— doesn't get um doesn't get taken or whatever. And this big, this name, 'Chilling Hard' was actually registered to Bud Light. So I imagine they probably... Bud Light? Like Bud Light? Like Bud Light, yeah. Bud Light, the one that, you know... The one that got cancelled.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:51:05,850 ] Kid Rock's going to pull up and shoot some more.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:51:08,350 ] Yeah, yeah. It was registered to them, so I imagine they were trying to maybe do a beer, and that makes a lot of sense, right? beer or maybe an ad like chilling hard with a Bud Light beer. This was like a couple of years ago. And then I created. This is great. And then I created an app for cleaning, but for high end users, for people that had a lot of money.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:51:30,480 ] um i i kind of I'm sorry, can I interject?
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:51:37,690 ] I do have to ask. How did you not get discouraged and just like let it bury you when that suit happened?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:51:45,250 ] Oh! Oh man! Oh man! It did. It did discourage me, but it kind of it pissed me off so much that I was finding new ways to Okay. It pissed me off and I realized that... at that moment that I had to channel that energy into the next new idea. But I never let it go. I still own the website. I still own all the assets. They actually do not have the copyright anymore.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:52:11,840 ] I'm going to file.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:52:13,470 ] So they let it go. They didn't do anything with it. They told me I had to they sent me a cease and desist and I told them, 'Look, I will sell you the website. I will sell you the Instagram. I will sell you everything that I have for chilling hard for $1 million.' You know, that's how much I value. Okay. So I didn't back down from those guys. I know they're powerful, but I knew they... they had no say in me owning the website and all they wanted all the assets for free With a cease and desist letter basically so hell yeah所以啊 um and then after that i created an app and i'll go quick on this it's the cleaning up Like, uber. but basically like Uber Eats, but basically for cleaning ladies to come to your home and clean, right? Because I always saw the need in United States, especially. um because i lived in the united states That you need a cleaning lady. And for you to get a cleaning lady, you need to know somebody.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:53:16,170 ] And it's kind of like, why do I need to know somebody? Why not just create an app where I can order a cleaning lady for a certain day and then, based on their rankings, I get to choose them or not. So, just like that's great. Yeah. So I created this, but I didn't have the money either. I tried to sell the idea. I never I did do a prototype— a working prototype. But then I couldn't sell the idea. I wasn't. And then I realized that I will have many, many ideas in my lifetime.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:53:45,890 ] And if you're not passionate about it, then it's not going to work. So I kind of... It's true. I saw a need for it, but I didn't have the passion.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:53:56,320 ] That's a great, that's great. Yeah, so that's really where it all started.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:54:01,760 ] So you understand, kind of like, where I come from in that sense. And then I got into crypto at the same time and I bought Ethereum in 2017, got into ICOs, got absolutely wrecked. Oh, man, the ICOs were so fun. They were so fun to gamble on.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:54:20,279 ] Yeah, that was the first time I saw a lot of money. A lot of money, but then I lost it all. I think on paper, I had maybe like $800,000 or something like that. But it was all on paper. You know, like on paper, it's not the same as liquid. Liquid maybe $60,000. Um, and then I lost that 60K, and I'm like, holy crap, like, what the fuck? And then after that, just, you know, I kept being part of it. Of crypto, but on the sidelines, but I never left. I knew this was kind of like the future, and then in 2020, I find crypto gaming, and at that time, what well, all of this is happening. I'm I'm a streamer, I'm doing I'm doing streaming. I'm doing content because I always loved gaming. I grew up gaming and stuff like that. So I never left the gaming scene. And I'm like... let me see what's out there in crypto gaming because this, this has something has come out of this. And at this moment, I find... Axie Infinity and I find Lost Relics, which is an ARPG. Mm-hmm. And then... Yeah. And then, this NFTs and stuff like that, was like, this makes sense. Like, I buy skins all the time in Fortnite.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:55:33,100 ] I buy skins in Call of Duty. Like, why can't I trade them? And why, why I start asking questions, like obvious questions and logical questions as to why people can sell in Counter-Strike, but not on.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:55:45,820 ] on Call of Duty and Fortnite. That's bullshit, yeah. What's happening here? So I'm like, okay, this is the future. I'm not a big card guy. I did play Pokemon a little bit growing up, but... I was like, look. This is the only thing we have. I have to push this. This is it. Like, this is it. Like, this is the birth of this shit, right? And I did see CryptoKitties, by the way, during the ICO era, 2018. I did see it, but for me, it was never a game. That didn't translate into a game to me. For some reason, I didn't click. It didn't click for me at that moment. Um, so just to point that out, but actually clicked for me because it was like, okay, this is a game right? Like this is an actual game.
Casper Shadows [ 00:56:29,210 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:56:29,930 ] And something being a game is kind of subjective, but, like, because a lot of things are... kind of a game, like life itself it is. Uh, but yeah, like, actually, kind of felt like a video game, so that's when I decided let me jump into this stuff and let me push this because this is the future and this is gonna take off. And that's how I got into the crypto gaming space, I guess.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:56:53,320 ] Wow.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:56:54,360 ] All right, next question, Wadmash.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:56:57,000 ] How many beers are in your refrigerator at this moment?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:01,980 ] I have absolutely nothing in my refrigerator right now. Zero. I only have water.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:10,060 ] Just like, yeah, I just have water right now, to be honest. I don't even have food or anything. I need a wife at this point.
Casper Shadows [ 00:57:17,380 ] Ah!
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:57:23,000 ] So how long? How long have you held a wizard? Or do you hold a wizard?
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:28,690 ] So... I just bought a wizard.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:31,810 ] Um, just recently and a ring. Well, I bought three wizards—three.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:37,310 ] Warriors, and those three Warriors, I... One of them, I'm giving it away. So if you guys check up, okay, yeah, I'm gonna pin it right here. So people, I made a video, um, on the wizards right here. Let me pin this to the top. There it is. So if you guys like, retweet or whatever, follow.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:57:59,910 ] And follow the juices, which is our website, our gaming news website. We're trying to compete with IGN. And GameSpot...
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:58:06,200 ] Did not know that juice was yours. Okay, got it. Yeah, yeah, that's mine. That makes a big thing. Sometimes you just don't know. You're like, okay, I didn't know that you were affiliated with that.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:58:16,230 ] I don't even want people to know because sometimes people can buy it and say, 'Oh, I don't like Kagi.' So I'm not going to read something on juiciness that has value. Sometimes I don't even want people to know if it's something, and we're not opinionated in juiciness, which is something, one of our goals is to not be opinionated, at least not yet. And when we are opinionated about a game, we will make it very clear that it's an opinion article and this is something that is not happening. And this is a big problem right now game in web2 gaming, where you go to IGN and you read those things, and you're like, 'This is an opinion. Like, why are you not saying that this is an opinion? Like, this is—you're telling me the game is good or bad.' In reality, I don't want to hear that. I want to know what.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:59:02,660 ] So y'all are an objective, objective Web3 gaming thing, because like Wild Mage and I and Magic Money News are mostly unbiased, but we're pretty biased.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:12,740 ] No, that's fine.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:15,600 ] People want to hear opinions. There's a lot of value. That's part of my channel. That's part of my Twitter. That's who I am. I have an opinion. I'm a human being. But when it comes to.
SPEAKER_3 [ 00:59:26,960 ] OK, but the juice is just your is your media network.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:30,640 ] Yeah, yeah, it's the media network, exactly. So we're giving away their PFP for Warrior. If any of you want to participate. and I don't know what. If you had another question, but yeah, I kind of lost track there.
SPEAKER_2 [ 00:59:43,200 ] Oh, we got more questions. Go ahead, Wild Mage. I'm glad you clarified. I called you KG, but... My bad, it's Caggy.
SPEAKER_1 [ 00:59:50,730 ] It's the same thing, it's the same thing. Okay. I'm going to give you context on this because this is funny. Xbox Live 2006. I'm like a little kid.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:00:01,010 ] What?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:00:03,600 ] And then I'm like, I'm like a little kid. And then I'm like, okay, I'm going to create an account here. And I put my name, which is Jan, Jan. Right. And, and then Xbox just generated a gamertag at this moment. I grew up speaking English, but... But I moved to America. When I was, you know, I was very young. uh. But I grew up speaking English and Spanish in my home because my grandmother used to work for the American embassy. So, like, I grew up speaking both, but I didn't know what a gamertag was. So I was like, okay, yeah, I put my name, my actual name, and it generated KG Gem. So that's where it comes from. Xbox Live.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:00:48,340 ] Dude, just like my um personal email is like hotmail . com. I'm like, Damn. I can't believe I'm stuck with that shit for the rest of my life.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:00:59,680 ] Hotmail. Who else is going to relate? Oh, Zalo's got it. Yeah, he understands. And Tanya Del Rio probably does too.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:01:09,410 ] What what made you end up buying a Watchers ring? Did you see how they were they were going up in price, or like, what compelled you?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:17,140 ] I think a little bit of everything, right? Like, while I was doing the video, I was like, 'Okay, there's not much; there's not much collections yet. The most important one being the wizard, and then the other ones— one of them, the souls, which is kind of like a burning mechanism, I suppose it is.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:01:32,600 ] Yes.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:33,290 ] And then you have the Warriors, which is for the plebs, which I am a pleb too, because I bought them.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:41,299 ] I bought some of those, too. And then you got the ring and the ponies, right? Basically. That's basically where we're at. Oh, whoa. Do you got the monsters? Yes. But... But I was like, okay, let me see what the utility is. And I see the utility, but the utility doesn't really.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:01:57,880 ] Like, it didn't really impact me that much at that moment. But then I'm talking to an OG in Axie. He called me. He's like, yo, what do you know about Forgotten Ruins, bro? And I'm like, okay, bro. You guys probably seen him around. His name is Cloud White. He calls me on my phone, and he's like, bro, what do you know? Tell me everything. Uh, and I'm like, Oh shit. Yeah. Yeah. He's like, bro, I'm looking into the, into the watchers ring. I'm like, okay. I'm like, fuck, I haven't bought one. This motherfucker is about to buy one. He's about to PVP me here. He's about to PVP me. So I'm like, bro, look, I honestly told him my thoughts when I just told you, like, it has some utility, but I'm not really sure that that utility still doesn't really, really, really, like... It doesn't really, because it's detailed, but it's not something that I would say, 'Okay, I'm paying 0. 6 ETH, right?' Yet.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:02:49,030 ] I'm still trying to figure it out. $1,700 at that point. Yeah, yeah. I'm still trying to figure it out, and then I see Cloud White tweet. Like, yo, I need this white ring or whatever. I think it's a white ring or a metal ring. I'm not sure what the... I don't know if it's white, but he tweeted something about a ring.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:03:08,040 ] He's like, 'Who owns this?' I'm buying this.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:03:10,930 ] And I'm like, 'Okay, this is about to start a a like a buying spree here. And this is a 0. 6. This is going to blow up. I'm buying right now. I bought the floor. I bought one. And then I woke up and it's up 1. 2.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:03:29,310 ] And now I think it's at one or whatever. But anyway, that's really the story behind me buying a watcher's ring. And we'll see what comes out of it. You know, I like the fact that we can mint some lands or whatever. Um. Let's see.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:03:43,380 ] Hey, so... Tell me a little bit about passive like mana or passive um tokens that get in these Web 3 games like so you don't have to like, like a dad. Somebody said something about a dad. Like a dad who has a watcher's ring can sit there, come in, and generate some mana and play a little bit. Take the edge off of whatever the grinding is. Do you have any other comparables to that? Like.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:04:09,330 ] Yeah, I mean, there's a lot of games in, you know, that's kind of the ethos here, you know?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:04:16,340 ] I pay to win. It's okay here.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:04:19,770 ] Because, you know, we're in a big boys market, you know, like people guess. Yes. People got shit to do and they want to have fun. and it's okay to you know to have some some extra money from your day-to-day from your nine to five job or whatever you do and then you put it in here because it's fun right it's what it's what we do anyway with any other thing right like a watch When you pay for a watch, like a real watch, $500,000, $100,000, $10,000 for a watch, and you're like, it's giving you the time. It's not doing anything else.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:04:51,880 ] But it's just a fun business. And it's a fun business to own watches and collect them. You know, so it's kind of the ethos. And the fact that it has that mana, I think it's good. It's a good thing. It can't be overpowered. I can't remember power item where it breaks the game to the max.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:05:14,140 ] How much time do you think it'll give us? How much time a day, like if you were grinding or whatever, it's like if you have a watcher's rate, one to 700, we get a million daily average users in the Rootiverse. Like, how much time would it save us?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:05:30,870 ] Yeah, I'm not sure about that because I didn't play the Alpha.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:05:34,490 ] You did not play the Alpha, the one in November?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:05:38,210 ] No, no. So I don't have all that. I don't have that content. Oh. But what I can tell you is that I like the fact that it gives you something, but you still have to put it to work, right? So, like, you have to put in the time, right? Like, okay, you got the mana, now you gotta play it. Right, so...
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:05:55,510 ] Yeah, well, yeah, you can just go to the fountain and then cash it in, but it will actually get you to go in every day to OG's. So, if you have a warrior or a wizard... Or a watcher's ring. You go in there with all your damn bling shilling. And, you know, you show up.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:06:16,170 ] Right? Is that how it goes? I mean, I'm really OG. I'm like old Red Alert type guy. So.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:06:25,060 ] Yeah, no, I see value. I see value in it. You guys know that I actually... knew about wizards the potential wizards The potential I saw in Wizards was really in NFT NYC. I went to the party. I stumbled into the NFTA party. Some of you were probably there. Bro, I was. I was amazed at how lore-driven and how much like the vibe, the energy, in that party was, like, this is an actual cult. This is an actual like, yes, Cool. This is pretty cool and it gave me the same Axie vibes, and that's when I really uh realized, like, there's something here. This is something, this is not, this is not, some like, oh, I sparked up a project, created 10, 000 NFTs, and now we're throwing a party because yeah, because because we got money. It was more like there was a direction already. Like it felt like it had direction. It had like a purpose, you know?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:07:25,610 ] So I just want to put that out there that this Colts is pretty cool.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:07:30,050 ] So you were aware of the project a lot longer than when you finally bit into it.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:07:36,660 ] Oh, yeah, yeah. No, I've been looking into the project for a long time. I just never got the grasp, because this is kind of like a criticism slash... Um, I guess input and you know, for the team, it's like you go into the website, maybe right now the website is good, but when you now, when you read the white paper or whatever, it's too much gibberish. Okay, not gibberish— it's too much lore. It's too much lore. It needs to be broken down. Too much lore. Yeah, it needs to be gibberish. Is not the right word. I apologize for that because that might like, actually, hurt. Well, don't ever go to Wacky.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:08:15,109 ] Don't ever look at about. We are all gonna die.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:08:18,670 ] Project No, no, no, no, no. It's not like that. It's more like you need to be, you need to make it digestible. It's what it is. And in such a fast-paced environment, when I'm doing research on a project, I can tell you, many people feel this way. I'm sure. Like you're looking really yeah, I'm sure you're looking. If you guys are in the crypto space, you click on the link on uh, whatever project it is, gaming project, AI meme coins, you want to understand right away what's the purpose, what's the vision, what am I doing here, what am I buying, and uh, just sell it to me. And when you get all this lore, you're like, 'Wait, OK.' So like, 'Oh, OK.' So I got to read all of this, like, 20 pages of lore. I think that's more for the people that are invested in the project. Once you buy, you're like, 'Okay, what is this?' You know what I mean? So I think Forgotten Runes is missing some of that, at least when it comes to the White Ripper. So I didn't really understand, like, are you doing an MMO? Is this more like an art project?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:09:20,240 ] And the funny thing is that they had gameplay in the NFT NYC party. But— Yes, they did. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:09:29,229 ] And I did know they had a game, but at the same time, I'd seen a lot of projects where... Thank you. They start as an art project and then they do this like. Quick game plan, they say they're doing a game and they never deliver. So I wasn't really sure. And that's why I never really got in. Completely. I was never really 100% sold. Until I started seeing some gameplay for real.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:09:54,020 ] So, yeah.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:09:56,770 ] Well, a wizard is never late. Isn't that right, Wild Mage?
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:10:01,070 ] That's right. We've, uh... We need to wrap this up because we've got more on Monday occurring, but I've got one more question for you, Kagi.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:10:10,380 ] And that is... So what's your spin on the conspiracies that are afoot with the Trump shooting on the 13th of all days?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:10:19,880 ] Yeah, that's a good question, man. Like, you know, I'm really involved in politics in terms of like understanding what's going on. You know, my family has always been involved in politics. So for me, this is kind of natural. To kind of look at politics and try to understand what's going on. You know, there's a lot of information, a lot of opinions, but from a logical standpoint, I mean... Number one, this is... This is like absolutely crazy to see this, but kind of expected that at some point he would be okay. He would be attacked.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:10:56,920 ] And then, number two, from a logical, logical, logical standpoint, that this is not like—um— Really going into conspiracy. It's like something went wrong.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:11:08,750 ] And there's only a few possibilities here, if you really think about it from a logical standpoint. Either.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:11:17,340 ] This guy, this kid with an AR— you know— found his way and found an open spot.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:11:25,590 ] And he found that building, and nobody stopped him, and then he was able to shoot the president, which is kind of crazy, but... It's part of a possibility.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:11:37,290 ] Two, incompetence for real, like from the whole. Yeah. Right? Or three.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:11:43,530 ] There is a little bit deeper than that. Somebody— within the government organizations— made this happen and facilitated. This this kind of outcome, right?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:12:01,380 ] But We will have to see. We'll have to see what happened there. We'll have to see.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:12:05,950 ] Yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:12:08,760 ] I'm under number two. I think there was incompetence in the Secret Service. I really think that that was nuts.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:12:16,880 ] 138 yards is nothing, man. That's a football. I could throw a football 50.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:12:23,230 ] Yeah, I mean... And the crazy part is that, you know. A lot of people were calling it out.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:12:29,950 ] In the crowd, like there's a guy with a weapon, yeah you know I think so I think it was just miscommunication, it happens all the time in government.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:12:37,850 ] Yeah.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:12:40,870 ] We both work in government.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:12:43,850 ] Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:12:48,090 ] What are you guys doing, government? Ha ha.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:12:51,870 ] Oh, I'm a mailman.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:12:52,990 ] Wild Maze is a mailman. I'm a mailman.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:12:56,100 ] I work for a city, a big city.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:12:59,600 ] Florida.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:01,830 ] No, in North Carolina.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:13:03,580 ] Okay, because I saw you in a boat. I'm like, okay, where's it at? Where's it at?
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:09,590 ] In North Carolina, yeah, I work for a really big city in North Carolina.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:15,240 ] But KG, was it not KG, it was Kaji?
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:13:19,210 ] It's the same thing— it was Xbox that created it, so I imagine I actually looked uh looked it up on Google and you know, you could say both ways, Kagi or KG.
SPEAKER_1 [ 01:13:29,480 ] And it means cautious, which I'm not even cautious at all. So it's kind of funny.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:37,079 ] Thank you so much for joining us. This has been one of the most epic shows we've ever had.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:45,970 ] We really appreciate it for your giveaway and everything else. And I want to say that BunnyX . Ron won the Mecha Pony tonight on a random draw.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:13:59,350 ] So bunnyx. Ron, you were listening earlier, but you got randomly selected.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:14:06,070 ] And then, of course, there's a treat box getting. Giving away.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:14:10,860 ] Yes, I don't know what the deal is with that. So, yeah, like, retweet, and follow Monday Magic News Entropy, who is the marketing dude for Magic Machine.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:14:25,660 ] We'll be in touch.

SPEAKER_3 [ 01:14:34,220 ] It's been a week, man. I'm on vacation.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:14:38,060 ] 64th episode, Trump gets shot. uh kaji gets on the damn uh Monday Magic News meeple dad has a super ass lore drop. We have the elections for the dow. I mean, how much shit can we pack into one show?
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:14:55,920 ] Yeah. We're really having to pack it.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:15:00,860 ] Well, tune in next week for some follow-up on all this bullshit, and then... What else you got to say, Wild Mage?
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:15:08,660 ] I ain't got nothing else to say.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:15:12,340 ] Well, thank you all for tuning in. I'm going to find some random techno to take us out.
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:15:17,300 ] Hey, I dropped a link. I dropped a link.
SPEAKER_3 [ 01:15:21,420 ] Dude, I'm on the beach, and I don't got, like, shit internet. Gotcha, yeah. And, uh, Leaf Dojang told me today, he's like, 'I'm not around, so I can't, like... come over here and play guitar live for you.'
SPEAKER_2 [ 01:15:34,660 ] Well, All right, then. Bye, y'all.
